Can't or won't. What's a little coma among friends. I promise, if the worst happens, it would be like weekend at Bernies.I’m diabetic I can’t eat that shlt
Well, I can but it’s spikes my blood sugar and then I get yelled at by my doctors so….Can't or won't. What's a little coma among friends. I promise, if the worst happens, it would be like weekend at Bernies.
Wrong thread. In this one if you disobey your doctor you could be banned. No, wait...you're not in Canada are you?Well, I can but it’s spikes my blood sugar and then I get yelled at by my doctors so….
Didn’t we just have this discussion about doctors a few minutes ago?
No im red blooded AmericanWrong thread. In this one if you disobey your doctor you could be banned. No, wait...you're not in Canada are you?
Or even drive a truckWhew. I heared in Canada they can just up and kill you if you tick off the doctor by eating bad stuff or driving tractors.
I do love those also. We had a great local brewery that made really good Belgian beers, but sadly they went away during covid. It was called Abbey Brewing Company and was owned by a local monastery. They made a wheat, Belgian ale and trippel beer. They opened a tasting room in Albuquerque downtown and the bartenders were actual monks who rotated days. Such a good beer, but only sold in state. You can still buy those beers in small batches, but only at the monastery, no longer in stores.Had a Belgian Tripel on Long Island a few times. Cannot get it here...so good.
Never been to Canada. Don't trust them. Nobody is that nice. They are like Eddie Haskell nice. Oh sure, they have their sexy accent with oot in a boot. Next thing you know, wham, Snidley Whiplash has you strapped to a train track like a 2 dollar hog on it's way to market.I haven’t been to Canada in 20 years, last time I went there was to go scuba diving at Tobemorie, and back, then the Royal mounted Police would take you to jail for just having a piece of coal off the bottom of the lake
It’s interesting how tastes change over time, or at least mine did. Ten years ago I only liked darker ales or porters. My tastes have changed and now I prefer wheat or lighter ales. My favorite style is a farmhouse (cream) ale. But those are hard to find. The best I have tasted is called Spotted Cow, but it’s only sold in Wisconsin.Love a good Porter or Stout and some Ales.< this looks a little light for me.
I like a good Oktoberfest set up, a darker beer, a little crisp fall football.
Try this if you can find it.

Spotted Cow. Sure, I've had those. A little tricky since when we lived there my wife worked for Miller. We weren't supposed to drink other companies' brands. Fortunately, Miller owns Leienenkugel, so I had lots of options. It’s interesting how tastes change over time, or at least mine did. Ten years ago I only liked darker ales or porters. Today I was in town and decided to stop at a Total Wine Store (Walmart of liquor stores). I happened to see a German Hefeweizen that was named one of the 10 best beers of the world at an international beer festival, so I had to buy it. It is made by the oldest brewery in the world (1040). I don’t usually buy European beers but I have to admit this is really tasty. Now I’m spoiled and the beer isn’t cheap.View attachment 849176
you can get trippel in the states. My daughter plays college field hockey with some Belgian players and they stayed at our house over the holidays last 3 years. As a thanks, the parents sent me Belgian beer. It came from a distributor in the states. I think it was in Illinois???I do love those also. Like some domestic beers, some imports only show up in certain areas. I can get some Tripel here, just not that one that I really liked. Other than IPA, I like lots of styles. Depends on the situation. When I was young it was all about quantity/value. Now I'd prefer to have one beer with character.you can get trippel in the states. Awesome. So we're agreed, no banning women. We'll, at least not as a group. I guess it's possible for specific women to be banned if they are like he who shall not be named.I kinda like them too!![]()
