Electric vehicle fires should be a real concern, close to a house or in the garages is a hazard. You can't (very hard) to extinguish battery fires, Its a big problem with electric vehicle underground, can't access the battery component to water it down and they burn for a long time.

Is that the new “political science”?

Thats fascism!!

The only thing I can add to that is the health care system we have here still has the potential to be the best in the world, but the onus is on the patient to find it.
We have a “healthcare” industry that profits BILLIONS $ from people always being unhealthy.
What’s that industry’s incentive to have a healthy customer base?…….
A healthy customer is a lost customer
Think about it….

Who you gonna believe?
Not our government! The one thing I'm convinced of after COVID, they do NOT have our interests in mind.

Only their $$$

It'll come. There are a lot of electric forklifts around, in part due to the natural ballast of a large battery, and operating them indoors.

I'd love to have a tractor that was 1000 or 2000 lbs heavier than what I have.

However, I'm not willing to go out and spend $50K for the latest and greatest technology on the block.

But you're right. an all electric large tractor or combine could be a problem. What if your battery only lasts 5 hours a day and you need to be on the field for 15 hours? Or you're operating 10 miles from your home charging point?

Perhaps they'll come with swappable batteries. So, one drops the battery on a battery trailer and picks up a new one, and is back to operating. While the assistant runs home to recharge.

Noting, of course, that the power companies don't like to give residential customers more than 200A 220V or in some cases 400A 220V, and they probably don't want you running it up to the full 100% load. Or, for a few days a year, every neighbor using the full 100% load.

Anyway, for my use, 5 gallons of tractor diesel can last me a very long time... many months, or sometimes years. There is little benefit of going to really expensive batteries.

I do have an electric mini van which I do like. However, one thing that I always have in the back of my mind is what would happen if I got a battery fire.
I differtiate between "farmers" and "homeowners".

I don't see EV technology capable yet to work for commercial farms. Current EV tech is capable enough to do what homeowners need - run for an hour then sit around for a week on a charger.

My opinion is that all light duty passenger vehicles should be mandated to go hybrid. EV is nice but we don't have the infrastructure to support it.

This carbon tax we have is pure BS. If we want consumers to be more carbon friendly then we need to do what they do in europe and tax by engine displacement. Nobody needs 400HP in a car. If you want it, great. Pay your over consumption tax.

Look at what the farmers are doing in EU. Look it up so then you will be aware of what you are wanting. They are spreading poo in paris. Shutting down roads. Tearing up highways, blocking off downtown. Its not covered by MSM bc heaven for bid if you knew what was going on over there.

As a homeowner and former farmer. I couldn't disagree with your statement more. There is a reason why you would want to differentiate between homeowner and farmer. Its so that you dont have to follow your own statement. Hybrids. Im not getting a stupid hybrid and it shouldn't be mandated. Thankfully I dont live in a state ran by idiots. Hell farmers here have a truck for farming. They have a truck for going to town. The wife has a large grocery getter. Move to france. You will be happier there.

Like abortion.

Abortion kills more people in the world than any other cause of death.

In fact, abortion kills more people that the next 7 causes of death, combined!
USA Death Causes.

Now to the World.

If we all acted like responsible adults we wouldn't need police, lawyers and a court system.

You feel that it's your right to impose your "wants" on others but it's against your rights if someone else tells you the same thing.

I'm all for choice - if you love burning your money that's your business. I don't want to have to pay a carbon tax to fund somebody's right to be wasteful. I choose to be conservative with my money and resources.

If you want to live like a crack wh0re then that's your decision - I just want to stop subsidizing crack wh0re lifestyles and lack of responsible adult decision making skills.
