I’m hearing there are plans to dismantle many hydroelectric dams. I’ve never seen/heard of more stupidity in my entire life.
It’s like we are hell-bent on devolving into an elite/servant society.
I got one that might be dumber. In the 1990s I had friends in California that did different things for the Forests, from being Rangers, Loggers, Game Wardens, Power Company, and students working on 4 year degrees related to the Forests. The one thing they all had in common was putting in time to minimize forest fires. Either from volunteer hours, or part of their daily jobs.

In the mid 2000's, giver or take, all that stopped. It was decided that cleaning up the woods, maintaining fire breaks, and removing dead trees was not natural, and leading to Man Made Global Warming.

Since then, forest fires have become significantly worse. But instead of fixing the problem that they have created, the government blames Man Made Global Warming for the forest fires, and uses that as a reason raise taxes and increase regulations.

It's habitat restoration.... and from California to Washington.

It's happening with much fan fare...

As for solar my year 2009 solar panels are are on the job everyday and I only pay the meter fee.

I don't use electricity from 4-9 pm for things like laundry or welding or painting as a rule... the rate is much higher as this is peak time.

For the first time I decide to do an experiment and set my house thermostat to 67 and leave it.

My gas bill for 31 days was $310 dollars... gas heat, gas hot water, gas dryer and gas range...

A few mornings the roofs were white with frost.

Our home is ALL electric... And even in the depth of winter, we hit $180/mo between the house and shop.

Some if my co workers in regular homes were pushing $900 all electric...

Electricity is edging ever closer to 50 cent kWh at peak and high 30 non peak.

That is incredible. At those rates, charging an EV at home, is the same as $3/gal gas. This is why solar and geothermal were not fiscally viable here.
I can see the government regulating the hell out of certain industries to make the "alternatives" more viable in the eyes of the consumer
