Good Morning!!!! 42F @ 7:30AM. Cloudy early with peeks of sunshine expected late. High near 65F. ESE winds shifting to WNW at 10 to 15 mph.
If I only got one guess, Billy, fun for you is a hike somewhere you've never been...
Tried to focus on getting the toilet in the master bath installed yesterday, but kept hitting detours. PO didn't paint the wall in back of toilet, and what the did paint was an awful color that sorta looks like refried beans. So I moved the toilet out of the way and got busy cleaning and masking the walls in preparation for painting. On one of the trips out to the garage for tools, I noticed that the shelf over the washer and dryer had fallen down. Just like the coat rack that was in that room, it had been installed with drywall screws shot through the wall with no anchors, and none of them hit a stud. And since they only used two brackets for an eight foot span, the shelf was sagging. I found the box of shelf brackets, dug out the stud finder, and half an hour later had the shelf back up in a way it'll never come down again. Sigh.
During all this I kept hearing garbage cans rolling around outside as the neighbors brought their cans in after collection. I also heard a truck stop in front of the house and more garbage can noise, and found a waste can and a green recycle can sitting by the curb in front of the house. Rolled them around the side and filled up the waste can with three full garbage bags. Just as I finished, the garbage truck rolled by, nothing I could do to stop it. Turns out there are three trucks: One for garbage, one for recycling glass, paper, and such, one for green yard waste like leaves and grass clippings. Yesterday the garbage truck was last in line, and I wasn't quick enough to catch it. Oh well, there's always next week. The garbage company still owes me two recycling cans, which I could probably fill when they get here.
Today the focus is once again on the bathroom. Fingers crossed it stays that way long enough to finish.
Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!
