Drinking hot cup of coffee. 19° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 46° with plenty of sun. Did not get shop cleaned up. But did get tools put were they belong in shop, pole barn and cellar. Will do cleanup for sure today. Did manage to watch NASCAR without falling asleep. In my corner of the world the right team won.
Yesterdays sunset.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
did not sleep well, too much going on this morning.
I expected propane tank to run out last night which would be terminal to plants when 20 degrees
out. So every hour or two I woke up to check the temp, that got old.
this morning I am off early to fill up two tanks, then get everything watered well, as I'm leaving later this morning
for Delaware to go visit friends overnight.

these are my childhood friends who have made the trip to West Coast five times in last ten years, and have a
wonderful experience with knowing what is worth seeing and what isn't. We will log into the trip software I have
and follow my route West and back. Will be taking lots of notes.

dropped my other friends off at Trenton airport yesterday, that place is sure a pleasure compared to Philadelphia or
Newark. Of course it's about one quarter the size; almost seems odd to see such big jets there.
when I pulled up to let them off, there was only one other car there unloading.
and for sure no one blowing a whistle to tell you to keep it moving.
I'm told it only gets crowded when the planes come in.

gas prices going up again, hope I can get it a little cheaper in DE.

I can't stop yawning, guess I'll be getting my friends to make me a pot of coffee this afternoon.

5F clear sky might reach 30F.

Outside chores done E muffin time. :)
Plans for today...8 hours at part store after that :unsure:.

Enjoy your day all.

Good morning, the low is 7 going to 32°F. Wind NE 11 mph. Mainly cloudy.

Yesterday I spent 3 hours cleaning this place up from the 16" dump of snow the day before. Got the neighbours all cleaned up and gave the driveway enough of a cleaning to pass a VW as long as you didn't mind backing in and driving out. lol

I pushed all the banks back and opened up one of the snow dumps I use. Took 3 hours. 30 minutes of that was warming up the hydraulics.

In spring I will see how much three loads (15 ton to the load) of Granular "A" gravel will cost me tailgate spread.
Granular "A" is 3/4" stone with lots of sand in it.
I have a roller that has a crack in it. I will patch the crack and although it was a water roller, it will become a cement roller after I fill it with cement. I will tow it with the Z-turn. I know I can pack the driveway down as hard as concrete.

There was A gravel down on the driveway 30 years ago, then 10 years ago I put pitrun on top of it because the A disappeared into the mud.

Not much on my plate for today, so maybe energy conservation.

Have a safe day all

21 outside, heading to upper 40's. Should be a nice and sunny day, like yesterday.

Road trip to airport day before yesterday, got daughter from overseas flight. The interesting thing is she seems to have caught a tailwind and arrived 30 minutes earlier than anyone expected. Thanks to flightaware, I was there.

Still working on Milk House, today is Redgard day. A water proofing sealant.

Wife not doing to well, sinus issue. Been trying to see a ENT for over a month now. Antibiotics not helping.

Hope all have a good start to the week, be safe.

Beautiful sky pix Ron, thanks!

35F headed to 50 in Beautiful Northern Nevada.

It's still snowing in the Sierras, but very little landing in Nevada.

Here's a trail cam pix from last year of some "new arrivals" ...

Good day (already lunchtime here) !

Had quite a busy days, didn't check in. You guys are being productive 😁
Hope to read something later afternoon

For beginning - little snow in the morning, now already gone

Yesterday morning was very beautiful sunrise, just like Ron's sunset, but with more clouds. Was running around no phone in pocket (recently got new iwatch ultra with LTE, so phone more lays on desk :cool:), 10 min later already gone, so no pics

Wow! What an interesting first glance at the GM thread! Wagtail is roasting at over 100F and Helo is still shivering in freezing rain and Plowhog is at 26F. The rest of us are glad the SB is over and Butkicker really did that by drilling a 57 yarder in the third quarter. (I read that this morning. I did not watch the game.)

I'm already on my second cup of coffee this morning at 41F and sunny at almost 8am.

M7040, your pictures of Ukraine children kidnapped by Russia reminded me of all the Israeli children taken hostage and murdered by H****s. Many have not been returned to their parents. Maybe I will post some pictures of those atrocities later.

Looking forward to a very productive day today and I hope everyone has a great day!

Here February should be much colder. Thaw at this time is not so common

Can only agree, war is ugly.
Sometimes when I start to think, now it is enough, we have reached bottom, no way to fall more down, but then still russians surprises.
Recent events with POW killings in broad daylight 🤯

I bet it's more sensible in Europe. Helo, do they sell propane by the liter only? Do you call your barbecue size grill a 20 pounder?
because a 100 pounder is only 23 gallons.

that's all the math I want to do. Sun is over the yard arm. Time to fuss in the kitchen.

Man, I have seen your destroyed greenhouse... Sorry for this 😵‍💫

For propane you are right. For grill we have 2 options: "small" (5 kg = 19€) or "big" - (10 kg = 27 €)
that blue word "Apmaiņa" means - exchange

1519_lv.jpg

In that webshop you can find there are some specific sizes, but frankly I never have seen them IRL. Probably they are for users like you - greenhouses, restaurants.
Anyway - propane always been sold on weight. that's way how consumer can control, how good bottles are filled

~~~~~~~~~'
Still no luck with heater. Got email from Tesla:
The issue this part has been on shortage all around Europe so to get it might have to wait 4-10 weeks.
Best Regards,
.
.
All these parts are allocated for Service visits as they are priority.
We can place an order and see when it will arrive.
.
.
Price is 482.66 + VAT, ETA is unknown, possibly in March.
.
.
These parts are booked for service visit in all Europe, so the ETA is basically waiting for new batch of parts to arrive to service centers.
There is nothing I can do to make it faster.
So those bastards are pushing me into their service
Don't like to drive into cold car, so I have no other option than surrender. Scheduled service for 28/02. That means 8 h trip to Helsinki, with ferry from Tallinn etc. God, start to hate that car already
To be fair, for 120k km driven that's first time I have to visit service.
But still :mad:
From plans you might be interested - will pull trigger on PRO Husqvarna 545 💪
Those big birches and aspens will not jump into my wagon themselves :)
That's about it !
Have a nice one !
Good Morning.
18° out there this morning. Sky is clear, wind is calm. Forecast is to remain the same with a high in the upper thirties.
Oddfellows meeting was uneventful other than having to reprogram a thermostat. Not sure why it lost its mind, probably dead backup batteries and a power outage. I installed new batteries and reprogrammed it. Seems to be fine now. It was running a random schedule previously.
Today I’m going out to breakfast with my wife to meet a prior coworker and her husband. Not a lot planned after that, but I’m sure I’ll stay occupied.
Helo, they charge by the gallon here, but it also calculates the weight and prints that on slip.
3.99 a gallon. 3.49 at bulk gas distributor, long drive
guess I'll keep supporting Tractor Supply
Next year will get big bottles the propane company can come out and fill at lower cost.
Am thinking two 100 pounders ganged together, maybe they have to be 120's.
that seems to be the "pro" size.
This all has to be temporary so I can remove it.
all packed, killing time before I get to TSC. They open at 8am, I'll be there shortly thereafter.
At least one can sit in a warm car until they come out.
greenhouse looks much better now, lot of the jumbled plants coming back, have another completed flat
of up potted plants ready to go in, but will wait til I get home.
had too many Burpee bush beans so I put some in a small baggie and will take
them for my friend's garden in DE. They love to grow beans.
I also am taking them a tiny pot of newly hatched pink impatiens
we are headed out somewhere nice for dinner tonight.
