17F clear sky low 20's for high,windy overnight 30-52mph.
Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...took day off from work keep an eye on the Mrs.,other than that take day as it comes.

Yesterday was perfect here, too...rainy and windy...my wife made chicken vegetable soup with Costco chicken.

Good Morning
It’s 30° with a high of 40 forecast under mostly sunny skies. Windy, but only 15kts or so. Last night was so windy it sounded like a locomotive coming through the woods. Loud enough to distract Zoe when we went out for a walk.
Today will be back on the speakers, crossovers need to be wired to the jack plates, and the exterior finish needs to be applied.
I took a good look at the Progressive mower when I was out with Zoe, I found three more spindles with more bearing play than I would like (which is none). At least they’re on the wing decks which are folded up, giving easy access. I picked up new bearings from the local bearing house, as I used up the supply that came with the mowers. They were 50% more expensive than Amazon, it costs a lot to shop local.
Today is trash day, have to collect every thing and get the totes down to the road, got a call to play music tonight, so my day is already filled up.

Morning all;
A bright sunny morning here at this time, some heavy rain last night at times and a lot of wind. Per National Grid over 1100 separate outages effecting over 51,000 customers. Dropped from upper 50's yesterday aftenoon to low teens last night with the wind. Knock on wood our's didn't even flicker last night, when it used to blow a line fuse in any kind of wind or storm. I've put the tractor on the generator twice this winter just to be ready and haven't needed it once so far, the first winter I can recall not needing it a couple of times.
Just sitting here looking out the windows and enjoying my coffee (second cup) and thinking about what to have for breakfast. Seeing a large number of crows flying around out and about, may have to get there attention so they move on a bit, get to many roosting in the area the noise becomes quite intrusive.
Had considered letting the coal fire go out and just use the mini-splits for heat but it's looking to be marginal for them to be the more cost effective.

I used to put up with the YT ads. But for some reason, when I switched to Duck Duck Go browser, I've never again seen an ad on YouTube.

Morning all, 31 going to 42, and sunny. So temp this morning less than 1/2 of yesterdays high of 67.,
Supposedly Ikea is coming to pick up frankenbed parts today. They do follow up well so far.
Some smaller Ash trees fell in driveway, now moved over to drive son to school.
Last window sheetrocked, should not need to cut more sheetrock for a long time. While doing ceiling patches, was so easy to cut/break/trim the normal stuff, the fire rated was such a chore.
RNG - they used those roll-a-lifts to take out the old Tarm wood/oil burner- they do seem to work really well
Wind was up over 40mph last night, could actually hear the trees hitting each other. I'm sure a few more fell last night, could hear some crashes. The more the better so I don't have to eventually rope them.
Did not get enough time after day job to start shelf project, maybe tonight. Sanding and refinish, would rather do outside if the wind ever calms down.

set the trash can out by the road last night, when we came home last night it was on it's side. One can down the road had blown across the road.
This morning I went out and set it up, got ranger out to carry 3 bags of old cat litter to the trash can. Boy is that wind cold. Wasn't used to that.
hopefully can stays upright with a lot more weight in it.
Looks nice outside, sunny. We had winds in 30 mph last night, but my weather station is a bit protected behind the house.
My work for today is done. lol
I dumped a bunch more train pics in my Life on the farm thread, probably boring to most people, think that's all I'll do.
I collect one little pension that is with Fidelity. so far they are paying me every month. I have another one with them I'll start in 2 yrs, that's when it will hit it's max amount. Another pension from another source, and then I also take money from my IRA. I'll start SS in a couple years probably. Not much of a difference in age 65 to age 67, slight decrease.

Advertising, in general, pisses me off. TV, radio and now uTube. My brother sold ads for a radio station/group, so I didn't complain to him but... I "skip ad" on uTube, but some of those you can't. I wear out the mute and channel switcher buttons on the TV remote. Change stations on the car radio. Record and fast forward through them, when I can. I listen to Pandora, at home (and yes I pay $55/year for not listening to commercials...) I chuckle and shake my head when seeing/hearing some of this crap. The agency/creators are "so proud" of their creation, and I just shake my head, as I reach for the remote. sigh

Yep, I thought of that if any of it is decent. I'll need to cut it out of the trees, though. There's a belt drive cement mixer, sit on (horse drawn) cultivator and manure spreader, and other treasures. Maybe list 'em as "Yard Art".Try listing it on Craigslist or EBay — you can make more than 2cents/lb AND APthey will pick it up from you
