Who rides motorcycles?

I am a HUGE advocate of lights on a motorcycle. As you can see on my BMW R1250GSA, I have a full Denali concert of lights. Not only do I have my main headlamp, but I have two large Denali lights with amber covers, OEM foglamps below those on the crash bar, and two smaller Denali lights down low. My rear has the OEM brake light, plus the Denali tag light that flashes when I brake. With my CanSmart system, I can adjust the intensity of the lights. When running daylylight, all aftermarket lights are shining at 50% brightness when on low beam, then when I flash high beams, all lights go to 100% brightness. When riding at night, on low beam, all aftermarket lights go to 30% but flash to 100% when I go to HIGH beam.

I have 79,000 miles and change on this 2019 model, and I have never blinded anyone. I commute almost daily, 80+ miles round trip to work and home. No issues at all.

I'd rather be SEEN than NOT seen.

BMW has made some big changes in their touring bikes since I was riding my 1973 R75/5!

My brother has been a Goldwing rider for years...puts a couple hundred thousand miles on one and then trades it off for a new one. He loves them because they are totally trouble free and smooth as silk going down the road. This is his latest that he bought last year:

Hey, that looks kind of like mine.

That was pretty cool, but I gotta say it made me just a little crazy that the motor was left all disassembled and she started taking every other damn thing apart. Maybe she was waiting for parts lol, I dunno, but for me I'd have to finish that before I was worrying about removing the brakes and blinkers! But the end result was beautiful and renewed my desire to find a cool classic style motorcycle as a second bike. :D
I hear you re. the motor. It seems that's her preferred format (at least for a video, and it is pretty striking) of doing things.

That said.... dirt on barn-find bikes aside, her shop appears to be cleaner and better organized than many household kitchens.... at least mine, at times !

I watched another one of her doing a CB400 rebuild.... she put a lot of time into that one too.... stunning results.

Please explain why you are entitled to “more light” than other vehicles on the road?

Is your choice to ride a motorcycle, accept it’s risks, disadvantages, and advantages. And in a supposedly free country we are supposed to be equal under the law.

Ah, the classic Windjammer II. In the 1980s had a '80 Suzuki GS550 with one.
If you are a Certain Age.....

.... you Remember When..... you'd see 'Jammers everywhere, even up here in the frozen Nord......
