Jesus Christ.

"This is a Memorial Day tribute to the brave men and women who risk their lives without a second thought,... "

Some of you guys are pathetic.

Moving on. I've got better things to do.
So she left off the ED in risked. Sounds like an ED problem. :ROFLMAO:

She clearly said RIP in the post. That means Rest In Peace, which to everyone but you means dead people.

Nice attitude on a solemn day. :(

Growing up every home flew the flag and remembrances were many… at the war memorial and area cemeteries.

I was the only one flying the colors yesterday in my neighborhood…

Great Grandfather died in battle and several other family members wounded in WWII.

It was always a solemn day with many visiting cemeteries…

It was raining and drizzling so I didn't put the flag out. It's just a small pole mounted to the side of the house like my dad had. I'm contemplating a 20-30 foot pole to put in the flower bed near the front door. Haven't found one I like yet. The sectional ones look kinda flimsy and the heavy ones are like $800. I think I could make a nice one out of a 10' section of 3" pipe and a 10' section of 2" pipe. Maybe an additional 5' section of 2". I have to take some measurements. If I go that route, I'll put lights on it so it can stay up at night.

I’ve had the same thoughts for when I have time to do a project. I put mine up on the side of the porch wall mount. If you find a good one to order at a reasonable price, please post the link.

My Flagpole bought in 2017 from harbor Freight for 19.95 is still going strong and always out in the elements.

On my 4th flag now from fading and this year decided to fly Memorial to Labor Day with a small solar spot light.

I’ve had people ask if I was afraid to fly the flag or about politics… several co-workers thought it provocative… none US born but here since infants.

I found several videos on youtube showing a section of 2", a reducer, and a section of 1.5" galvanized pipe with a cap that made a pretty attractive pole. Leaning towards that route now.

A guy down the road built his own flag pole. It was 150' tall, weighed 13,000 pounds, the flag itself weighs 120 pounds and he needed FAA clearance to raise it.

The only way I can see to get the 2.5 minute video here is through facebook.

I didn't know I could do that.
