I have 3 dummy email accounts that I set up years ago with Yahoo. I started despising Yahoo for all the crap email. Then set up a Gmail account. Gmail has been great so far, my need to do another account with them.
I don't know if they still do, but a while ago gmail required you to give them a cell # in order to open account. No idea why, but screw that.

I have seen many people say the same thing. Myself I have never come across that.
It only takes once...

Held the door for someone at the post office and the young woman do I look like I have a broken arm...

My reply, "'So sorry Miss, I hadn't noticed..."

That really set her off being that I used Miss in the land of Ms.

Good comeback. Served her right for being snarky. Could've just said "thank you" and been done with it. Some people just don't get it.

You should have said "I actually was not holding the door for you, I am slow due to my degenerative knee condition, bone cancer in the hip and asthma, so I thought I would take a breather and not delay you"..... That MIGHT get her thinking. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I have 2 dermatologists, and they both say to use Vaseline only, and keep the wound covered. And use plenty of Vaseline. They don't want the wound to develop a scab.
That was the treatment and instructions given to me by my dermatologist. Vaseline & keep it covered.

I had a woman get angry at me for holding a door once so I closed it.

On the other hand, on several occasions, I've had people compliment me on opening the car door for my wife.

After 45 years my wife couldn't care less if I get the door for her or not, but she knows I enjoy it, so she plays along. 🙃

Ha! That reminded of my that some woman made a snide remark about my wife being helpless when I opened the car door for her. I told the woman my wife has broken her collar bone 3 times and it's painful for her to open and close the door (all true, but she doesn't milk it). Woman walked away. Wife laughed hard.

Why do some people have a problem with simple courtesies?

I do not know.

I have 4 older sisters. My mom and dad made me open the doors for them, let them go first, sit down last, etc. They always seemed appreciative (still do today).

My son in-law does the same things for my daughter. I smiled when I saw that. :)

I’ve always been like that!
Funny thing happened the other day. I took the stairs to my Doctors office, there was an older couple behind me so when I got to the office door I held the door for them and they got in line first, I thought that was rude!☮️✌🏻

Feminists hate it when a man does something for them. Not speculation, I have talked to a few about it. -

It must be hard to carry and maintain that feeling through life.

Working at a hospital the women out number the men by a large margin but we generally have a very cohesive workforce…

I view it as mowing with a zero turn mower. When you're heading for an immovable object, like a tree, you just make a circle around the tree to the other side and keep going as though nothing was there.

I don't let these losers bother me, nothing will convince them otherwise and I don't want to anyway. I just want to keep doing the things I want to do and go bother someone else.

Forty something years ago I was a young 4/C Cadet at a Military Academy. I was heading into am English literature class and I arrived at the building door about the same time as a middle aged professionally dressed woman. I held the door for her and got a lecture about being a sexist pig. When the lecture started I tried to say a word or two and was shut down so I said excuse me and walked off to find my class. Low and behold who do you think my instructor turned out to be? The very feminazi that lectured me on holding a door for a lady. I passed the course but it was an uncomfortable semester.

My early mornings at the front desk catching up on reports and directing patients are well received.

Maybe because it’s when many are feeling most vulnerable with pending surgery.

Some with wheelchairs, crutches, canes, etc. and I have no problem holding doors and pulling out a chair…

It’s been very rare but some patients in Burka wardrobe feel uneasy about receiving courtesies…

By far pronoun use is the current minefield.
