The first tomato of the season, actually there were three but someone ate 2 before they got inside We don’t usually have tomatoes this early but the Mrs brought home a large plant her sister started in their greenhouse (it already had tomatoes on it) I like it when others do all the work lol.

For any of you motorcycle guys, I’m going through old bookshelves in preparation of moving to the old folks home, and found some interesting old manuals.
One is the shop manual for a Yamaha RZ500, another is a shop manual for Yamaha DT series. Free to a good home.

Had threat of rain coming, so decided to start grilling the Brats early. Once I got them done, threw on a few burgers to get them done early, just in case. Good thing I did, it started raining when they were done. Ended up with .63" of much needed rain. Had a good feast, was hungry as I skipped lunch.

Been good day...trimmer got in long walk this morning,afternoon front field and under spruces mow,while mowing notice Boo laying under BIG maple with gentle breeze snoozing on his blacket...I was tad jealous.

Plans for evening...share bowl ice cream waiting for critter and stars.

81 high was 89 and very humid

Was a good day though. did some grilling. A few drops of rain but did not turn into anything. Watered the 16 bushes with a finger size stream from the hose for half an hour each. Soaked it up with no run off. Was needed for sure
Watched a few videos for the NSU 250cc motorcycle similar to one I had. They had the speed record in early 50's at 200 mph on the salt flats in Utah. The factory racer was souped up for sure. Mine was 20 hp with top speed of 70 mph. Hard to believe they could be made to go that fast

The eye doctor appointment went well yesterday. Picture was exactly like the one last year. No retina issues and no diabetic damage, a big relief. Next appointment a year from now. Hardest part is to recover enough to be able to drive home after dilation

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low was another frosty -3.4C and it's presently 8.8C, heading to somewhere around 12C. It's clear and calm.

It's blissfully quiet with nothing planned. That's about it, take care all.

Kinda messed up, no pics. Somehow got a bit behind. 1st time in 15 years I didn’t have all the food ready on time. I made 10 lbs of chicken thighs, marinated, grilled, finished in oven and an 8 lb pork loin, dry rubbed, grilled, finished in oven. Lots of comments how good they were. Additionally just an excess of great food from home baked bread, fresh fruits to custom made chocolate candy. Sadly, I’d didn’t get to sample all of it.
Otherwise a nice gettogether with perfect weather.
