I asked a young tech savvy friend what to get
for an outdoor camera, solar powered, no monthly fee and TPZ
he suggested this:

any thoughts?
IF he's going to help install it and support you as you use it GO FOR IT.

My family emigrated here (Hamilton, ON area) from Belfast, IE in the 1800s. They came via Ellis Island and then up here to Canuckistan. There were 3 brothers. Two came here and one stayed in the 'States.

I sent junior to town to deposit a check for me, on his adult tricycle. No rain on the way there but when he came out of the bank the sky opened up. When he got back here even with a poncho he looked like a drowned rat. 15 minutes after he got in the house the rain stopped and the sun made an appearance.
Just bad timing.

Good Afternoon,

Dennis, my grand parents on my fathers side immigrated from Germany in 1923. My Uncle was 4 or 5 at the time and my father wasn’t born until early 1925. All the old Germans that were here in America wanted my uncle Gunther and my father to join the Bundt ! That was basically the recruitment for the ****** youth corp ! My father and uncle wouldn’t have any of that and enlisted ! My father was in the Pacific Theater and my Uncle was in Europe. I would say they made the right decision! 😉

RS, our broccoli is taking a beating even with the bag

Yeah ... I've seen tons of those little white cabbage moths all over around here. They don't waste any time.

a big Beautiful job on your garden ! It’s a work of art ! 🙏

Thanks.

We got an early enough start here this year and it just all seemed to come together.

Hope next year will be even better with a little more planning, good weather, and adequate rainfall.

Down to 67F @ 18:30 with lots of wind and even more rain. Mostly mist at this point though.

Got the hopper feeder and the 2 tube feeders refilled, also the suet feeder. Plus scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

A young deer came bounding down the property line on the west side as I doing that and headed into the woods.

Also put the SD card back in the game can and turned it on.

Yellow straight neck squash:

Zucchini:

Had a striped cucumber beetle land on my arm as I was taking that last photo ... so those will need to get sprayed tomorrow.

Need to schedule one bill for payment online, make out checks for the property taxes and those stuck in the envelope which are due in about a week, gather up Menards rebate receipts and fill out the form and stick that in an envelope.

Woman currently out doing some grocery shopping.

If the mist ever slacks off I'll get the bucket moved up to the shop.

So continuing with the ring doorbell camera the app said I might need an extender, so I got the chime pro and connected it to the door bell via wifi. The chime did not work and support turned on a few things in the app and we could hear the test chimes but when the doorbell is rung no sound. Ring thinks the chime pro is defective and is sending me a new one. My wife thinks this house has some sort of blocker blocker in it maybe was once owned by a spy. Or it could be the motion detector in the hallway that we don't use.

Ok on hold again to ring support because the ring connected to the ring chime extender and won't release. So the doorbell is offline again. I need to reconnect directly to the wifi but it is not that easy to find in the multi layered menus.

We had a line of thunderstorms heading our way tonight, and it just vanished. We got a little breeze and some dark clouds, and no rain.
Got the trash can out for tomorrow, most weeks just 1 bag.

ordered a seal kit for the water softener. hope that's it, the seal kit isn't cheap.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 6.4C and it's presently 14.3C, lightly overcast/some sun and calm. There was 0.7mm in the gauge @ 0900, all from yesterday arvo.

Just as I was about to head into town yesterday my plumber gave me a call. Great timing, especially as it was threatening rain. It was pretty much a 20 minute repair... tasks sure go quickly when you have the right tools for the job, eh? He even put lagging on to, hopefully, prevent any future 'burst'. (y) He recommended that I stick with the original pump until it carks-it, so that's what happened.

The light rain did arrive when I did get into town. All tasks accomplished.

So, what with not having to 'stand-by' my mobile phone, it's 'enjoy the warm [for Winter] weather'.

That's about it, take care all.
