Good morning! 70˚F and with clouds rolling in this afternoon we might stay out of the 90s, but I doubt it, S breeze.

Got the yard mowed yesterday evening and a dead hedge replaced. Decided on a rug and drapes for the hearth room, to brighten it up.

Kyle did your mom's house loose power, any damage?

Thanks for the recommendation David I have research to do, I like it's self storage I now just need to figure which package has all the equipment I need for the battery doorbell and 2 plug in cameras.

Good Morning
It’s 72° with 95% humidity this morning, good chance of showers this morning, then clear in the afternoon with a high in the upper 80’s.
Yesterday was grey all day, but only .03” of rain.
The major project for the day was the ladder for attic access. I hate pull down stairs, even the “high quality” ones are junk. I made the access through the existing garage to avoid any compromises in the old folks home itself. I got a 10’ 300lb capacity ladder and made a hinge system and lift to stow it out of the way when not in use.

The plasma cutter made short work of the parts, I got some sailboat hardware from Amazon, a couple of pulleys and a ratchet cleat.

I assembled the baker’s scaffolding, that will be helpful with many upcoming tasks.

But most noteworthy was the completion of the supply plumbing with the exception of the feed connections in the boiler room. I am still waiting on a few parts to plumb the boiler to the radiant heat system, but I do have what I need to do the domestic supply plumbing to the boiler, as well as the combustion venting to it.

Looks like there are peaks of sunshine outside, the rain might have only been a rumor. I’ve got to get moving, off to the supply house for a length of 1” copper for the boiler plumbing, and then HD for some small storage bins for plumbing fittings.
nice work on the ladder. Looks like you can push the string to the side with the bracket after it is lowered

Actually the metal bracket gets lifted back up to the ceiling to be completely out of the way when the ladder is down. I made the bracket out of 3/16 steel so it would be heavy enough to travel up and down by itself.

Good Morning,
Vt, 66 to start going to 85 or so ! Got a bit of rain around 11 last night. Today is partly cloudy and still fairly humid.

Paul, nice work on the ladder !

So yesterday we took our guests out on the lake for the afternoon, hardly anyone out there, pretty much had the lake to ourselves ! Our friends took some pictures of the surrounding mountains out on the lake so will post some of those !!

Today we are planning to go out on the boat late morning and then out to a local brewery later this afternoon! I’m not driving so I can have a couple of beers 🍺! 😉

The lawn needs to get cut before we leave on Sunday, so have to fit that in today !

Hope all have a blessed day ! 🙏

Morning all, 77 to 89 and some light rain, cloudy.

Got the table legs on and just need to fix a few tiny gaps in the joint and all done.
Son helped me flip the table and move it.

Was hot enough yesterday that I was melting just cleaning the pool.

Popgadget - very neat ladder project. Totally agree most attic pull downs are poorly made. Nice scaffold.

Well at least the crape myrtle likes this weather. All of them are going bonkers. I trimmed this back before spring and it's grown about 50% bigger.

nice crape myrtle Ken, reminds me of the South

I agree on the attic ladder, nice setup and that one won't wobble like 99 percent of the others.

finished washing one half of rv, really scrubbed the upper brow part in front with wash/wax, will know when it dries if
it left any gloss. Surface was very oxidized from sun. I know all about oxidized fiberglass from boating.
So I scrubbed and scrubbed the diluted wax onto the area.
I might go back out later and put some ceramic spray wax on now that it's clean.
will soak a mop head, an old one..., and will quickly slop it on. Then I hope it doesn't dry streaky because hard to get at
way up in the air.

that shirt went splat in the basket, dry one on
waiting on Ken to come consult

86F and partly cloudy @ 12:30, DP 67F, HU 52%, "feels like" temp = 91F.

Got a gallon of glyphosate applied up around the shop yesterday. Looks like we've finally managed to kill off the swamp dogwoods that were growing up into the beds.

Came back down to the house and prepped some seed for the ground feeders and was heading around on the Cub to put that out when I noticed a big groundhog out there.

Backed up the Cub to where it was out of sight and got off, leaving it running to cover my noise, and went inside to the master bedroom to grab the shotgun.

Looked out the window there and here's another one out there in the back ...

Was not able to get the screen out of the window without spooking that one so I headed back outside and snuck up on the feeders.

Took the shot and nailed it.

Unfortunately I also got a squirrel that was close by.

Shut the Cub off and took the Kubota around and loaded them both up in the bucket and took them up to the brush pile for the buzzards.

After that I got the seeds scattered for the ground feeders and went over to work on pulling weeds in the new hosta ring around the oak tree on the west side.

Got that mostly weeded, still need to water them though.

Went and got the Buffalo and watered the redbud and day lilies on the west side over by the magnolia tree.

Relatives came by for some plants for their new raised bed, hooked them up with a few things. Maybe a dozen or so plants all told.

After they left I moved the Buffalo over by the summer squash and gave those a gallon each. Also watered the hosta around the hawthorn tree while I was at it.

And hooked up the soaker hose on the Sunny Boy tomatoes and gave them 20 minutes of water.

After that I called it a day as it was pretty humid and I was dripping with sweat.

Not sure what all on agenda for today.

Need to dole another week's worth of meds for sure.

Birthday party to go to later.

Probably work on more weeding, watering, and maybe some spraying.

Hope everyone is having a decent Saturday ... (y)
