delicious crispy catfish at local restaurant here tonight,
had fun time with friends, though half way through I couldn't hear/understand anyone. Restaurant was pretty loud.

now for some quiet time and a good book.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 6.4C and it's presently 13.6C, overcast & somewhat calm. There was 4.0mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Last evening's meeting turned out to be a shared meal as there were only four of us. That's fine, social gatherings are good for the soul.

Today's plans are to do a 'tip run', stop off at the PO and then to the Hardware Store to get some proper coloured stain for the french door. I received notification that the brass door push plate has been dispatched.

No we do not hunt them. A neighbor with a little speck of land sets up a feeding lot to attract them from our property and shoots them. Often wounding them and they go back to our land to die

You could call the game warden. Shoot to kill and eat is one thing, but shoot to injure is not kosher.
Shoot for the trophy rack (Moose) and leave the rest for the wolves isn't kosher either.

I don’t use them often, but when I need them, I need them !

I cannot get a permit, because someone in the house is certified with depression and occasionally 'hears voices'.
I'm not worried, mainly because the local busy body when we first moved here told everyone that would listen to her that we were both in the mafia. Then she told them that I bred and trained rottweilers. By this time the official people knew it was all BS, but the local crooks just stay away. My doors are always locked, there are 7 cameras watching the place. There is not enough to make it worthwhile for someone to come to the house and try to break in.
The tractor & Dodge are always locked and after I get the 500 gallon tank filled there will be a lock on it, too. The z-turn has a key and that is kept in my pants pocket in summer.
I am not the least bit worried about wild animals.

Good evening all. 70ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, very light breeze. Light wind, more clouds, and high temp was 90ºF, HI 95ºF. Made coffee to start day, then cleaning lady prep, bike ride after they left, lunch, nap, walk the weed eater, make reservations for hotel room and register for Goatneck 70 mile route. Dinner with group.

NHBX glad someone cut the roadside grass. Bet watching the container get dumped was real fun . Don't remember picking horn worms that much fun.
Drew I use Kirkland Decaf from Costco. Not sure how they decaffeinate it. Hope you trip was good , and the real time weather was a help.

Coffee is done brewing. 54° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 80° with lots of sunshine. Grocery shopping went good. Got grass mowed. Still need to cleanup shrub trimming. On top of todays to-do list. After PT early this morning.
Only have seen 2 frog in garden pond this summer. Usually 2 dozen around pond.

69 in Milton DE going up to 83,will be 84 at home this afternoon.
should be an easy drive home, but cannot leave early since have to wait for Philadelphia rush hour traffic. The Blue Route has aggressive traffic on a slow day, sometimes reminds me of DC Beltway.

nice visit with friends here, glad I made the effort.
The best part of this trip, so far... was the fact that when I got rv out on turnpike, lo and behold the front shimmy at 65 was gone. Been there since the beginning despite multiple attempts to balance. Three weeks ago I had truck shop swap front tires side to side and then rebalance.
whatever they did worked. Knock on plastic everything seems to be working.

Good morning all,
61° now highs in the upper 70’s low 80’s and sunny with low humidity today. Winds NW 10-15 mph. Dew points in mid 50’s all day.

Yesterday was a mostly quiet day, some time in the garden and helped Mrs clean the house a bit. We did get a few showers but only enough to keep the grass and weeds growing.

As soon as coffee is done heading outside to water and check for any more hornworm damage. Then off to get some groceries, beer and wine. Probably get started on some mowing this afternoon. That’s about it for today.

Personally I do not like the sound of flat plane cranks.
They sound like chainsaws to me. Lots of folks like the "F1 sound" but
not me. Thankfully my vote doesn't count.
