Opinions on NX4510

I currently have a CK3510HST and am looking for something bigger and I don't want hydrostat anymore.

I was originally looking at the new DK lineup but the dealer I am speaking with has an NX4510 shuttle they are discounting. I have heard of problems with the NX but mostly with the electronic hydrostat. They are offering $32900 otd. Is this a good deal or should I avoid the NX all together.

I would atleast consider a MF 1860M power shuttle. It's a bit more money, at $40k-42.5k. The 1840M power shuttle is right around $32.5k.

As far as a non-HST, I think the MFs are kinda on the leading edge of the cheaper stuff.

I don't have a Massey Ferguson dealer anywhere near me. I really like my Kioti. I'm not necessarily brand loyal but I figure why go somewhere else?

Sounds like a good deal. As I understand, the NX is being discontinued. With the shuttle, you should avoid all of the NX hydrostat issues.

I have an 2018 NX4510 HST cab. Bought new. Had some early problems that were sorted out on warranty. Now have 1000 hours and overall am very happy with the tractor. Not sure what the HST problems are, but mine seems to function fine. I like the size and weight of the frame. Loader is a beast. Have 2 rear remotes and run a 7' rough cut mower without any issues, a 6' rotary tiller, 7' rear blade. I have installed a quick hitch with hydraulic top link.

Another dealer just offered a NS6010 shuttle thats been on the lot for a year and a half with a Trailblazer TB-one for 34k.

What's the difference in the NS and the NX? They seem very similar.

The NS has less electronic crap, and never had the HST issues of the NX.

Well the NX issues is new to me.
I upgraded from the CK4010HST to the (2017) NX4510HST, set the link pedal and have never looked back over the last 1100 hours.
But guess like any equipment made they all have issues.
The Tundra for examples is have a time with engine teething problems with the twin turbo.
Hm, well don't know what type of issues the NX has, but will certainly now pay attention.

There was a dealer fix initiated by Kioti for the issue on affected units... As it affected a significant number. I looked at a few at auction had dealers search the serial numbers to see if they had any warranty work done or the fix installed, before bidding. Lost a couple auctions and decided to buy a new TYM instead, but I researched the heck out of the NX issues because I really wanted one.

If you search Kioti NX hydrostatic problems... There are a number of threads with the same issue.

I think the NS deal might be the best but he only offered 13k on trade so I'm going to try to sell my CK.

Any inputs on the price of that NS?

And it comes with a trailblazer fel cutter for that price. It's showing some signs of weather but not too bad. It will be outside at my house anyways. Hopefully sometime soon I'll have room in my shop but for now I have too many projects in there.

I'd say that is more than fair. Two years ago when I was looking, the NS was so hot you couldn't find one. They are great models

Any idea what my CK3510HST is worth? 2021 with 345 hours. 3rd function, 2 rear remotes, filled tires, top n tilt and piranha tooth bar. He offered 13k. I was thinking more like 17k.

Not a clue, but I'd imagine $20k wouldn't be out of the realm. Trade in will suck, because he is going to profit from it

I appreciate all your input. I'll list it at 20k and see what I can get. I really though this tractor would last me a long time but I have outgrown it.

If someone walked up with $18,500, I would throw them the keys. Anything less than $15,000; I'd ask them to not come back.

Just clocked overt 1k hrs on my 2016 NX5510HST and zero transmission issues (other than breaking return springs).
