New Holland Boomer 40 wont crank with key.

Hello,
I'm new to the forum so be patient. I have a New Holland Boomer 40 Tier 4b purchased in 2018. I mowed about 10 acres, parked it in the barn. Next day it wouldn't crank. Parking brake is on and light illuminated on dash, PTO is off and light not illuminated on dash. I ohmed out the seat switch and it's good. I can jump the solenoid on starter and it will crank but not fire up. I'm leaning towards the on board safety module but not confident enough to spring for a new one to try. Any help would be appreciated.

Check your battery cables (both hot & ground) if that is the renamed LS. My LS was doing all kinds of wonky electrical stuff until I replaced the battery cables & main fuse set-up. Check the Hot at the main fuse for excess corrosion. As I remember, it feeds two legs to separate 50 amp fuses on the firewall. One goes to ECU/Key switch, other feeds the main fuse panel. Could be just enough resistance to throw off the ECU

Thanks! Mine won't even crank with key. I can jumper the starter coil and it cranks that way but I'm assuming whatever the problem is has fuel shut off as well and will not start.

What is your voltage at the key switch/fuse panel?

Mine was reading 12.9 at the battery, but only 5v at the key & at the fuse panel until I got rid of the LS hot cable & ran a different main fuse/cables

I have 12.5 volts out of the switch. I've ruled out all safeties except neutral switch. I have hydraulic foot controls and haven't been able to locate that switch yet.

which engine do you have? LSMtron or Shibaura?

Mine is shuttle, so can't help you with HST. If you have the LSMtron engine, try the LS Parts catalog and look at XR4100 series. they have diagrams.

Just a thought, when you ohm out the seat switch the switch may check out OK but is it still in line with the seat?

I got caught with this on my mower I don't remember the exact cause but the seat was not going down quite as far as normal. I think it was less than 1/2 inch difference and no start.
Next day I finally figured it out.
