Good morning!!!!

Good morning, the low temperature is 49 and going to a high of 66°F. Wind N 13 gusting to 21 mph. Mainly cloudy.
At least no rain for the next 4 days.

I will go out and take a look at the seeded patch and see what is left of it today. Maybe reseed again. This will make the third time I will have seeded this patch. There are weeds growing in it, sparsely.
I may get at the trike today, too. Tomorrow or Wednesday will be a grass cutting day. Maybe on Thursday we will clean up the mess (bark and slivers of wood) from the firewood in the basement. He cleans the floor and puts it in 5 gallon buckets and passes them out the basement window. I dump them into the loader bucket and put them on the compost pile.

Yesterday and this morning I have heard the furnace come on, so checking the oil tank is on the plate for today. There is a gauge on the 200 so that makes it easy. I wont order oil until November IF I can help it. That way I am sure to get 'winter' oil.

It seems odd to be talking about winter oil in August, but I have to stay ahead of winter. The oil is all paid for, it is just that the price is not 'locked in'. I run a credit balance with both suppliers. That way I don't have to scramble to get them paid when the bill comes in. They don't pay any interest on my money, but neither does the bank so what is the difference?

With the trike I get the sensation that I am leaning to the left. I think it is the seat that is the culprit. Any thoughts on that?

Have a safe day all

good morning all
late start, just felt like reading my book in bed with a cup of coffee this morning.
Weather looks nice, cooler air coming in after a little front goes through later today.

Bill, you reminded me I have to call and get my fuel oil prepay worked out since I won't be here when they usually send
stuff out in Sept. Sure hope this year is less than four bucks a gallon. I like a credit balance also, backs up my auto delivery so no
excuses on their end. My local fuel oil company is very good, guy never lets me get much below half a tank.

been thinking about remains of veggie garden. I have to clean it out before I go in a week, cut vines back. Tomatoes and peppers
still coming in, though squash all died. I got a few pattipans and yellow squash and then plants just quit. Maybe that stretch of hot weather
just did them in, despite being watered.

Flooding in Connecticut still bad, Scott be careful out there.

nice not to have anything on calendar for today. I hope to be able to work outside more this week in cooler weather, get some bed edging done.
And one final wash and wax for rv.

I do need to start making reservations from Colorado back to home. I left that part go for awhile, but time to pin down dates.
that will be a good job for this afternoon. T minus nine days.

66 heading to 85...then nice cool down coming.

Had more bad news...my Mom was taken to the ER at 3am Saturday with congestive heart failure. So, have been making daily trips to Virginia Beach to visit. They have used diuretics to help remove the fluid around her lungs/heart. She has improved and they have moved her from the ER to the cardiac care unit, so she finally got some sleep yesterday. I think the hospital staff are angels.

My nephew visited, and at 44 is still surfing. The surfers are in heaven from the big waves that Hurricane Ernesto is pumping in from out in the Atlantic. The East Coast Surfing Championship is there next weekend, and he is entered.

I've got some catching up to do.
Prayers Billy. My 95 YO mom has had this multiple times. Her lungs start filling with fluid and she can't breathe. Salt is the main culprit for her. Most food that tastes good, has sodium chloride in it. She has to take lasix and now go P a lot.

my Mom was taken to the ER at 3am Saturday with congestive heart failure.
Very sorry to learn this and prayers for her. My wife's mother went through that years ago. It unfortunately is progressive but fortunately there are some things that can be done along the way that can alleviate things. Yikes.

A few days ago, my wife said Rigby swallowed something sort of blue color-- but she didn't know what it was. Vet gave us instructions of what to watch for in case it got bad. He seemed totally normal except 2 days later he threw up an intact Brillo cleaning pad. Steel wool type, but no longer with any soap. What was most strange was everything for 2 days seemed completely normal, meals, etc.-- while it was in his stomach. Oh and he transported it from NV to CA for us. 😄

Made it back to NV. 55 going 90F. Nice temps-- I enjoy the cool mornings working outside.

Your system is set up better than mine. I like that copper manifold. Are you on city water or well water. I ask because I needed to get a spin down filter for my water feeding g the heater. I’m on well water and whilenit is clear and tastes great it appears to have somenparticulates some times. I have a large spindown filter in the closed loop and in the boiler feed …. My unit is a combi and does domestic hot water also.

I’m on well water. I have multiple cartridge filters in the loop. They are in the basement of the main part of the house, so not visible in the picture of the boiler room for the old folks home.
The Resideo HydroSep also provides filtration in the heat loops, both with a screen and magnetic separation.
The boiler is a Rinnai IO60CN, which is a combi unit.

Morning to all;
Abit of a different post today, I have a search on craigs list (that I should cancel) that had a sharp looking older tractor pop up on today. With the prices of new tractors in the stratosphere these days I found this to be a good looking tractor for an almost reasonable price and thought I would post it in case any one is thinking of something different then the current flock of imports.

I know nothing about this tractor, but to me she is a sharp looking unit and if I had room for another tractor it certainly is one I would consider.

All take care
Lou

Good Morning
It’s 68° with a high of 80 and thunderstorms likely this afternoon. Yesterday stayed grey all day but no significant rain.
I spent the day cleaning up and moving tools and supplies back to where they belong from the garage where I set up a table and staging area to work on the old folks home.

Today the drywall is supposed to get taped and spackled, masons will be outside building the chimney. I am about to grab a bowl of special k and see what’s happening out there.

Good Morning,
Ct,66 to start going to 80. The numbers are in on rain totals, we got about 7” or more here and the next town north got over a foot of rain ! I actually think we got more than that here !

There is a possibility of thunderstorms and more rain mid to late afternoon, not exactly what we need !

Wngsprd, prayers to your Mom ! 🙏

The drain that I put in next to our inground pool worked great until it got plugged up with debris and then it flooded the pool. So I have a green pool this morning, that will be on this morning’s agenda!

I am honestly looking forward to some fall weather !

Thomas, good luck with the spindle project!

Hope all have a good start to their week! 🙏
