Not sure if this subject has any interest, but...

I'm "practicing" removing and installing the FEL on a newly acquired (but not new) B2601
This loader has pins and the hydraulic connections are not modular.

Following the directions in the product manual, along with tips shown in a generic u-tube video,

After only the second go around, I had the tractor free of the loader in Just under 5 minutes.
The time would be shorter if I had a level concrete pad, as some attention went into the uneven disconnecting of the lift arms from the uprights.

I'm still working on the re-connect. At present, the time and effort is quite comical.
Chasing a free standing FEL around with a naked tractor across turf might make for some laughs ...

I'm working on it.

All in prep for a K-Connect front mount Snow blower.

It isn't terribly hard on the kubota loaders...but...I have done it twice in my life and that is what makes it hard. I just have pretty much no memory of the procedure from that last time as it was so long before. If you do it regularly, then yeah it should go quick. The biggest key was to park it on a level hard surface.

What I'm working towards is that the entire operation will be "auto-magic" muscle memory.

And will not be an excuse for anything.

With my current tractor, a JD 2025r, there isn’t much technique required. I had a Kubota BX before and while it wasn’t difficult it did require a little technique to do it. I usually take my end loader off and on several times a year because I mow with my tractor.

I'd like to get some of that muscle memory, but after 12 years I doubt it happens. :)

My loader on the 2720 goes on/off infrequently enough that I printed the page from the manual that instructs how to do it, and clamped it to the wall where I park the rig.

Now that I think about it, the last time I put it on was the fall of 2022 and it is still on.

As I have a larger tractor with a loader, the B2601 with turf tires is supposed to be the "yard tractor" I don't want to feel like the loader is in the way for any small task the wife might want done.

I never take the loaders off either of my M9. One they are too big and two, with the ssqa's on both I just drop whatever is on the arms and go about my business plus the loader arms are close to the hoods anyway and on the cab tractor because of the hydraulic outlets on the front cross tube of the loader, there is an extra set of disconnects I would have to deal with. Just too much of a PITA for me.

The main key that I have found is being on lever ground and preferably concrete or surface hard enough the support stands don’t sink. If not level it becomes far more challenging.
