Deliberate disambiguation. The meme tries to play Holier Than Thou picturing an EV charging station on a pallet with a diesel genset. But gets nuked by fact that the BMW i3 made better use of diesel than any of the diesel automobiles. "Making better use" is the true root of conservatism. Greenheads are as irrational as ICEheads.

Sure! Why don't you do that! I'm not going to stop you.

Guam's electric power grid is essentially diesel powered. "Residual fuel oil" is what Wikipedia calls it.
That's what I want, a vehicle that burns Bunker C oil so thick you have to use a coal-fired steam boiler to heat it up enough to flow through the fuel lines....

"Been in" is a good start.
Drive one.
Dudeman! I have an excavation business and haul a 16k trailer daily. What Tesla is going to do that besides the big rig?!?! I rarely drive besides work so it would be crazy to buy a Tesla car to save 10$ everyonce in a while on diesel.

I’m not saying they don’t work for anyone just not for me. I think yall want to argue EVs are for everyone so bad you’ve lost all common sense.

That is terribly flawed logic. You propose Tesla gets a fixed share of the market, only has 5 models, therefore one of those 5 gets proportionately more sales than another automaker offering 30 models.

Each automaker's model stands alone in competition against all other models of all other makes.
I forgot for a moment, you’re endless strawman arguments.
What I wrote is 100% factually accurate. It doesn’t agree with your bias, so of course you twist, twist away.

I’m not here to defend the meme. I’m simply pointing out the ridiculousness of an EV enthusiast’s sponsored article, and “data”, claiming an EV running , charged with a diesel powered generator is “green”.
Like I said, if it was, we’d be burning #2 in our grid generators.
Silliness

And Tesla didn't become #1 until 2023 when the government cash flowed directly to buyers. 😂. They actually lowered the price of some models to make them eligible for the incentives.
Yes that combo cut my purchase price by $21,500.00 and opened the FSD door to owning the safest car for me and other people on the road.

Read it again. The original article says, "Using diesel to charge EVs in the outback is greener than you think". The meaning is different than you are trying to make it to be.

Agreed, Greener” was the word used.

Doesn’t change the facts straight from the EV enthusiast’s article :

“the BMW i3 came in as the most efficient, recording a fuel consumption rate of 4.392 litres/100km – about the same fuel efficiency as a diesel BMW 3 series.

So, the cherry-picked best performing EV….used as much diesel as the diesel version of the vehicle 😂

The Teslas tested, used even more diesel than a diesel powered BWM 3 series.

So an expensive EV, plus an expensive diesel charging station, can net you the same mpg using diesel, as simply buying the much cheaper diesel car.

This is fantastic progress! 😂

So besides work you (or your wife) sits at home most of the time? You don't take small drives for vacation or sight seeing?
You would be the odd duck.

You are wasting your breath on this willfully ignorant poster. He won't get it because he doesn't want to get it.
He would be the last one hanging on to his horse and buggy as Ford is cranking out the Model T by the thousands.
Just put the dude on ignore and let him wallow in his ignorance.
