I got over to look at the SIL's leaking Kubota. The only thing I could figure, is that one of the lower loader hoses was pushed up against one with a quick disconnect and maybe dislodged it a bit. I wiped everything down, "distanced" the two hoses, and ran it up and down, and saw nothing spraying or dripping. I told him to pressure wash the area when he can, then keep an eye on it.

Morning all, 63 going to 78 and sunny.
Capacitor replaced in Taco solar pump and now it runs. Waiting to verify it's pumping and heating up water.
Late night last night as we went and saw Springsteen in Philly, Wife got tickets last year, $50 each up in the upper reaches of the stadium. Amazing how cheap they are at box office vs ticketscamster, which were $200-400 for same seats.

Sodamo - hope this is it, does the fuel filter assembly have a backflow preventer ?

Drew - California has fastpass and when I went there I signed up for single pay, so I got direct charged for the tolls, vs paying $90 + to the rental car place. Many states have toll by plate with some fees, some allow to pay via web site to avoid fees (like Chicago). It's all a mess.

Need to remember to take some figs to my neighbor.

Got appointment for dentist, tooth broke on flight out to California, doesn't hurt, but missing part of tooth is annoying.

Rip - sorry to hear about FIL hope it's not too painful. Hope the other issues sort themselves for you.

Be well,

68°F and .26 inches rain

Just as my tractor tech was finishing up we got a surprise visit by mainland friends. Lenny is the guy that helped me paint the house 2 years ago.

Today will be a mixed bag. Other friends are prepping to sell and move offered me a nice slab of koa wood. Pick that up this morning.

Got a potential buyer for the Chevy Spark will work that out today.

And I’m hopeful to get a few hours to work my LS tractor to confirm we found the problem. We have a potential hurricane headed this way and weather changing.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day.

69F and partly cloudy @ 12:00, calling for a high of 75F for the day. Low this morning was 50.4F.

Woman has shut off the heat and opened up the house ... (y)

Amazon delivered the 'kraut packer.

Made trip over to friends, pretty good haul:

HF parts washer which looks to be in "like new" condition (although it may have a bad pump)

Three (?) shelf rolling cart built out of wood ... which looks to be in pretty decent shape.

A metal frame that was used to hold something (on a sprayer I think ?), the big attraction on that one was that it has a removable slide plate which I'm sure I'll find some use for.

Around sixteen or seventeen 9' long sticks of 2" schedule 80 seamless/D.O.M. steel pipe.

Plus an 8' piece and two 3' pieces ... and a pair of 7' pieces which had bearings and 1" OD pins fitted in the ends. Rollers essentially.

So a little over 900 lbs of steel in the pipe.

Need to get that unloaded and then head back over today to pick up that large frame which looks to be mostly 1/4" wall 2" square tube.

Got 3 gallons of gas for the Cub on the way home.

Decided to work on screening more compost after that.

Started to run low on fuel, took a break and refueled the Cub and then ran down and picked up another 5 gallons of diesel for the Kubota. Refueled it when I got back.

Got the last of the original compost pile screened, and got a good ways into the "rescreen" pile (in the foreground) as well:

May be able to get that finished up today.

But mowing also on the agenda.

Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday ... (y)

RNG. I think it was maybe Feb, I drained and cleaned the tank and lines. Refilled thru a Mr Funnel. Let tractor run an hour in the shed. Thinking, wow, I got it. Took it out to mow and didn’t get a half circuit when it went into its limp/stall mode. Took multiple restarts to get it back to shed.

Interesting Mike, would never suspect getting a new filter being bad. Tech didn’t suggest the filter itself, but the assembly. I saw where NH, which used same part has replaced with newer version.

Frits, I agree. That fuel filter has a moisture sensor that reports to the ECU. Not sure what else. That sensor was the 2nd thing I changed last year after replacing filter and problem remained even though I didn’t get a code error. I did that because years before I had same symptoms but with a code and it fixed problem.

What with all the new Electronic BS on tractors it is a wonder any of them run.

We got the Jeep garage under roof again. The biggest problem with this particular roof is that it is in full sun, there is absolutely zero protection via trees and therefore no shade either. It gets the wind from all the points of the compass except the West. It is right beside another identical shelter.
We will start rearranging the stuff in it so I can get the M101CDN2 army trailer (same as a M416 US army trailer) in there as well as the z-turn and two trikes. I think the lumber is going into the Dodge garage. The two spare roofs can be put on top of the lumber. They are still in the boxes. 2' x 4' x 8" deep.
