Think I will wait for tomorrow to do the mowing here, need to get the yard trimmed up before we leave on Friday for a beach vacation with the kids !

Is the big sale at REI when they mark everything down to normal retail price? I love that store but find them a bit pricey ...

Our heat has returned, so its back to working outside in the morning then finding something else to do.

I was really surprised to read the campground breaker would no longer trip if you did not use the water heater, then read later the water heater was propane powered. Hope you get that sorted out soon!

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Had short scuffle last evening,different bear show up for the first time and try pushing Boo from his area taking his blanket,Boo was little undersize but his strong spirit sent other bear on fast trot down the driveway.

Paul, you chose well using a builder. Moving right along. Does he work in S VA? . I have an IBC tote almost full of humidity behind my house. More than I can use. Watered using several bucket fulls last night.

78° and 86% humidity. Probably got 5 gal dripping from me. Got out before sun got high. Calling for 99°, may be hottest day of year.
Got rest of potatoes dug. Just need to remove large pile of weeds.
Snagglepuss was a little help. She wouldn’t dig potatoes, but she did chase away grasshoppers, then took a nap beside me.
AC still not fixed.

Most potatoes were very small, many starting to rot on the ends.

Morning all, 77 going to 95 and cloudy
Got oil changed on lawntractor.
Got generator and splitter started and warmed up to check oil.
Mowed some side areas.

Generator no start was user error. Amazing when you do a job at the end of a hot day vs. first thing after day job. Gas valve not all the way open.....

Simplicity oil change is always so easy, open up valve on side of oil dipstick, oil comes out into pan below through hole in chassis. Oil filter set so there is an opening below for oil to go into pan. Most of my other oil changes, just a bolt on the engine, which is up against the metal engine support plate so oil always gets onto something no matter how careful. Why can't the designers do what simplicity used to....

Drew-hope the transfer switch is not a goner. Does it have a manual override? Hope ti gets fixed quick.

Good morning! 73˚F heading to 90 only with a 10% chance of rain, at least clouds in the afternoon will take away the extreme heat.

It dried up nicely yesterday after the morning inch rain and was able to mow the yard at sunset in 83˚ temps. I see my condensation buckets are full and need to distribute to the plants, in 24 hours the two two gallon buckets fill up twice giving me 8 gallons of chemical free water to the plants. The robot is cleaning the pool and I'll check the chlorine levels later after that nice rain we had yesterday. Water temp has dropped 6 degrees now 88˚.
We have a chance of rain for the next 8 days, if just half of those days produce rain here we will be in good shape with the yard but the pool may turn into just a water feature if the water temp drops below 83˚.

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 6:15AM. Foggy early, becoming sunny this afternoon. High 74F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph.

Could you lift the front end up with the FEL and throw rocks or logs under the wheels to get you off, David? Oh, never mind, I read you got a tow.

Do you have one of those plug in testers for testing 110VAC receptacles, Drew? Or drive over to see if your rig would work OK at another site?

Got the second pallet unloaded from the van yesterday morning, working straight through without a break. I'm feeling it this morning.

Fired up the lawn mower and took care of the front and back yards, maybe four bags full. Tried to get the lawn edger started and didn't have any luck. Plug was wet, so it's getting gas, but maybe flooded. Choke lever isn't marked, so no telling when it's on and when it's off. Left plug out and will see if I can find an online version of the manual. RTFM...

Got some electrical work to do on the back patio, hooking up the big air compressor, and outlets for an RV so Drew can run his AC when he shows up. If weather stays like this, though, all he'll need to do is open a window or three.
