Morning all, 50 going up to 80, sun is up
Not sure what happened yesterday, but it's now Wednesday.
Son's first day back to school, he has a parking spot, so he is happy.

I try to work from home.
My commute is 5 hours round trip since they moved my office to 3 WTC.
that and about $800 or so per month for train/subway/parking at train station.

be well,

Maybe put a pond in somewhere behind the garage? Not sure it gets enough sun.

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 5:00AM. Foggy early, becoming sunny this afternoon. High 78F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph.

If you're passing through Kansas City, Drew, and you're hungry for BBQ, try Jack Stack. Years ago I ate at one on Holmes, and it was a classic BBQ and steak house. Dark red velvet drapes, cushy bench seats in the booths, and cigarette smoke hanging heavy in the air. The cigarette smoke is probably long gone, and there are now a chain of half a dozen restaurants by that name, but the burnt ends, St. Louis style ribs, and smoked meats are likely still there...

Got a start on the electrical work on the back porch yesterday. Made a list of supplies, went to HD, only to find that my wallet was left at home. Good thing it was only a ten minute trip. Got hot tub hooked up again, still need to run power to the big compressor and RV outlets, but need to make another HD trip somewhere in there. A local True Value hardware is even closer, but their prices are outrageous, and I'm frugal.

Need to start packing for the trip back north, too, so that'll probably be it for the day.

Happy Hump Day, folks.

they wanted ten bucks more for a concrete pad.
I can see why, not good hanging up in the air, used all my blocks
really should have two wood blocks to put under the front tires.
now that's something I didn't bring...
did chock the rear tires

might try doing it all again and only use the fronts manually.
might not be as perfect but want to see how off it is when tires at least touch the ground.

other than non level sites, nice place
We stayed at Elks Club in Fullerton, California. Had to lift front of motorhome up high. Put blocks under front tires. Then the 4.7 earthquake hit about 4 miles away. Did no damage. But thing did move around for a while.

good morning! cloudy, 71 heading to only the low 80s. Had rain yesterday total .93", nice, did not have to hose fill the pool but need to check chlorine level today.

yesterday was another drug free day, I don't think I will need a refill of pain pills unless out patient PT becomes too painful. the at-home PT is not challenging enough of course I'm comparing it to the knee again which had different priorities - scar tissue in the knee as opposed to surgical site healing in the shoulder. PT is behind one day because of the Monday holiday and I might end up with one less session before I go to out patient PT, which is fine with me.

Tree guys should be here Friday to get my trees ready for the second half of hurricane season. I'm getting the live oak trees cut back 5' form house and 6' from pool.
I hope to be good to go in 6 weeks so I can plant hedges in the back yard to block out the view of the street, but need cool weather for that job. I also need to get and spread about 50 bags of mulch in the various hedge gardens.

I should be sling free by the time Drew arrives in Texas but not off of the Dr's limitations, so I won't be able to entertain him with projects like I did with Ron, which is probably good with him.

good morning, 59 going to 75 cool morning

dropped Cody off at the groomer and back having breakfast before heading up to the produce market

Mowed grass for a couple of hours yesterday. The new helmet working good with protection for branches hitting the face. Nice to have music and good turn down of outside noise.

The mower would not start seems to be low battery. Jump started fine and checked voltage running and charges just fine. Hooked up CTEC charger that has a reconditioning setting. Will check it today and get a new battery if still not good

Good phone call about GD and her improvements with the meds working. She has learned to be diligent about taking her meds after several emergency hospitalizations. Her new doctor got permission to speak clearly to her about she will die if she does not take her meds. Lupus and Evans can be debilitating

D is have 360 degree survey feedback from subordinates, peers and managers as a kick of for a year long class in management

The wildlife is busy around here

Good morning! Low of 46°, heading up to 86°, sunny. The guessers now are giving a 40% chance of a t-storm tomorrow. Then back to "dry" for another 7 days.

Just been piddling getting the plants / nursery stock ready for winter. Transplanted 35 pine seedlings yesterday into bigger containers. Still have 50 Siberian Elm seedlings to transplant. Not sure if we will get to those today.

Drip irrigation started at 07:00 this morning. I will have to keep a closer eye on it this time.... last time, I opened the valve to fill the pond. Then forgot about it..... overflowed the pond and flooded about a 25' x 25' area. Don't think I need to do that zone....

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to PJ and the Mrs.

Drew, thanks for posting your travel pics. Nice!

Everyone have a great day!

Told VA guy I’m buying the geo unit.

69°F and .16 inches rain.

Did get a couple hours mowing yesterday. Until I was losing traction and the wet clumps were clogging the chute. I seem to have an aversion to that. Will give it another try today.

Possible trip into town today.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

75F and sunny @ 13:15, calling for a high of 81F for the day.

Got 2 gallons of glyphosate sprayed in several areas.

Thought one sprayer was clogged but it turned out that I just didn't have the pump screwed all the way in and it wasn't building pressure ... 🙃

Refilled hopper and both tube feeders + 1 suet feeder, also scattered some seeds for the ground feeders.

Removed most of the netting - which at this point was mostly shredded anyways - from the strawberry bed and sprayed it with stink juice. Also sprayed some hostas in a couple of areas as well.

Recyclables and shredded netting hauled up to the cans at the road and cans set out.

Cleaned the cat pans.

Started filtering and refilling one of the glyphosate sprayers, it's probably 3/4 done. Will finish that one up today and get started the 2nd one.

Woman asked if there were any ripe tomatoes still out in the garden while She was having an afternoon snack so I went out and picked bucket full of the ripe or nearly ripe ones.

Still sounds horrible ... coughing and hacking ... :(

Sure wish She'd quit screwing around with this crap and go to the doctor.

Went out late last evening down to the local creamery and picked Her up a pint of their Butter Pecan ice cream.

Rest of the agenda for the remainder of the day will be to work on those things I didn't get done previously.

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ... (y)
