I ordered some bearings from an online farm parts store and it stated these bearings were manufactured in the US , when they came in it says on the bearing box that they are manufactured in China, I really need them but am curious what others experiences have been with China made bearings, on a side note the bearings that I have been using are made in Mexico and haven't really been all that great.

I don't know what others have experienced, but I've installed a lot of bearings in all sorts of stuff over the years. In the last few of those years a good number of those bearings were made in China. I've yet to see one fail from what I would consider poor quality.

what's the application/machine for your ordered bearings?

Approx. 12 years ago I bought new Dexter brake assemblies, from the backing plate out for my old Eager Beaver trailer. When I removed the brake drum to bolt it to the axle, I noticed the bearings were made in China. They came amply pre-greased, so basically plug & play. Within 500 miles, the outboard tapered roller bearing cage literally came apart, and lost the left front wheel. Luckily, I found it. Not my first rodeo, been repacking bearings for 40+ years on various equipment.

I crossed the bearing part number to Timken U.S.A. bearings. Found enough NOS Timken bearings on ebay to replace all 8 bearings. Pulled that trailer another 10 years hauling a lot of equipment and never had a problem.

It's pretty easy to search for bearings if you have the part number at either NAPA, or Motion Industries, Bearings Inc., etc. Usually they'll have several choices of bearings, and prices reflect USA, or foreign made. Tons of NOS Timken, or other USA made bearings on ebay. I replaced all axle, and PTO bearings on my 130 Farmall 3 years ago for less than the price of one axle bearings from Case/IH.

China is capable of making high quality stuff often for top line global manufacturers spec. There are also some less quality ones too. Have been surprised at the quality at a much cheaper cost. Bailers are extreme environment for bearings so you have a good test apparatus.

Yes, quite the variety of price and quality for the same bearing. We found them varying from 4 to $40 for the same ones. Go figure!
