Or they ramped up for Bribem pork which never paid out?

I've said over and over again that The EV Gas Station Model is a fallacy. We don't want or need a "gas station" on every street corner, which is something "every" genius intellectual basement dweller never-did-anything "knows" we need.
That is easy for people like yourself that own a basement ( and garage) to say, but the next significant wave of EV owners ( forced by mandates by the way) will not have simple high amperage chargers to access ....except the gas station model kind. Apartment dwellers and single car people that travel, need on the road charging. No one said one on every corner ! ( even present gas stations are far from that) but read any polls or feedback the media gives us, it shows a primary hurdle for those potential purchasers is lack of convenient charging. It's not all about your "comfortable well to do" demographic Grumpy . Can you grasp the concept of their perspective ? Maybe not.

One of my likeable politicians, Rachel Dancho, was addressing Parliament and asked a question. When driving from BC to Ottawa, which tree will we be able to plug into? The looks around the room were hilarious.

Who is being abusive? Try looking in a mirror.

There will be no EV mandate but in select backwards progressive left communities who will suffer great(er) economic collapse. Ever try to rent a U-Haul one-way out of California? Rates have been double (or more) than to bring a U-Haul in to California. Is easy to verify on the U-Haul website.

120V 15A isn’t terribly hard to get. Is what I have used for 90% of my charging the past year.

The Briben plan is very much “on every street corner” as is your belief poor destitute renters must be provided public charging facilities because there will never be charging facilities provided at their apartments with swimming pools, gyms, and tennis courts.

You speak with authority you have not earned. You have no experience. Your superior intellect has thought about it, reached a conclusion, now you know all there is to know because of your superior intelligence.

Who called you abusive in my post ??? But you proved my point....this is an international website with representatives from all over.....not just USA. But California's impact will effect all of USA, and only if voters in other countries eject the present left wingers by the truth being exposed about EV mandates and weaknesses and costs of EVs for all , then maybe it will be stopped. And if you think the majority of Apartment dwellers have swimming pools and gyms, you live in a gated community in your mind. And what about those single car owners , how many times this month did you use one of your other ICE vehicles ? .....hmm now imagine putting all your mileage needs on your EV for a year, and still just charge with a 15 amp 120 volt extension cord rain or shine every night or two across your grass or snowbank..........hmmm

I'm just thinking of the many thousands of contract workers that live in RVs or Motel moving from job to job. Electric linemen, welders, mill wrights, masons, etc. Up until I closed we always had 6 to 2 dozen in here year around living in their campers until the job was done. Some complete with family, sure we have power but you would be paying for an entire separate spot for the duration $40 per day (yes we discounted for them) . We had crews in here for up to 4 1/2 years building water treatment plants. Line workers for over year stringing a new High Tower line for the mine. Motel here is full year around, many stay 1 hour away due to lack of space. Mine work comes and goes, depending on ore prices. They core drilled with 6 rigs for 5 years but then send all home for the last year.

Manufacturers have a target audience, namely those buying the most new cars, and those people overwhelmingly live in single homes and own multiple cars. Unnamed masses of single-vehicle apartment dwellers might as well not exist at all, when making decisions on what cars to market and manufacture, if their financial situation is such that they're only buying second-hand vehicles.

That's a bit narrow minded, there are many demographics that just use one vehicle and don't live in houses with garages or have easy plug in safe driveways.Eg I and many other boomers will be going down to one vehicle in next year or two, my last two new car purchases I paid cash for, so will my next new one when living in all on one floor apartment, or assisted living condo.

You make a good point, but I think your particular demographic is a new one, with the boomers now retiring. Look at your parents generations, retirees were not known for buying new cars in the past. Hell, we used to joke you could pick them out because of the old wrecks they drove.

Sources do show the average age of a new car buyer creeping up, from mid-40's in the early 2000's to over 50 post-COVID, with speculation this change was caused by increasing prices. But one thing that hasn't changed much is that 90% - 93% of new car buyers own their home:

New trucks: 93% own their home
New SUV's: 93% own their home
New sedans: 90% own their home

Again, a car manufacturer is making cars primarily for the people who buy new cars. Concerns over how an apartment dweller might charge their EV are likely not at the top of their list, if only 7% - 10% of new car buyers are renters, and only a fraction of renters are in apartments versus rented houses.

I suspect your statistics are specific to USA only, and you see yourself that boomers hard earned money is a new trend exposing their customer money lately and longer active life trend too. And by your website link ( that basically sells mailing lists and email addresses to clients) represents close to 30% of new car customers . But that aside, now reflect on what primary factors have slowed down the rush to buy EVs ........( besides left wingers now realizing Ego Musk is no friend of theirs) it's confidence in convenient charging availability , and linked to that is the big one range anxiety. Probably the same reason hybrids are the better fit for most.
