Drew, nice pics.
Truckee is one of the coldest places in California, Drew, and will often set new low temperature records in the winter. This time of year the aspens haven't started changing, but it's not to far off. Might even be some frost in the morning by the time you get there.I was looking at weather ahead, actually the craziest place is Truckee CA where lows are in the 30's. That's a two heater night with the propane furnace set to 65. Must be up in the mountains, but sure not that cold here.
I believe it has a shear bolt because the clutch was an option. And it always would shear the bolt instead of slip the clutch until I put the grade 8 bolt in it. But it broke that bolt too. I have the heavy duty 6' bush hog for heavy stuff. I mainly use the 5' like a weed eater to get the tight stuff around trees etc.By going to a thicker bolt, Kyle, is there any worry that they won't shear soon enough and damage the mower? Or is the in line clutch going to take care of that? If so, why are there shear bolts to start with?
Also took apart the deep well controller and found that what looks like some kind of variable resistor came apart on the board. It sets the idle time between pump starts when the pump cavitates in an empty drill pipe, which happens toward the end of summer before the winter rains start. Not an easy repair, so I ordered an eight hundred dollar replacement which should get here tomorrow. Still way cheaper than calling out the well guy again.
Gonna get started on painting the gate up at he cul-de-sac by washing it off with water. With today's temperatures, it's sure to be dry by tomorrow. Got some wiring to tidy up in the pump house, then inside jobs the rest of the day.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend...
