Trailer looks like it has a pallet of mortar between the 2 cinder block stacks. It does look reasonably balanced for tongue weight at least. If my guess is right 25 lbsx6x3x5layers=2250Lbs each block pallet, and maybe another 600-900 of mortar, depending on how deep that is stacked. Probably not overloaded. A bit lacking on strappage however...

I think those are 10x8x16 blocks, 44-45# each, ~78 pallet = ~3500# per stack there.
I think there's only at most 8 bags of mortar though, maybe 500# max.
Given a 10k trailer it should be ok though close.

Probably correct. What I want to know is who the heck decided that there was a significant difference between a 1-7/8" ball and a 2" ball and made each a standard. 2-5/16" makes a little more sense as a different standard. If I was the decider, everything in the light towing world would be 2-5/16".
In Europe we have just one standard, ISO X-50 ball hitch for everything under 3500kg or 7400 lbs.
2" is 50.8mm so i'd be alright towing a US made trailer with a 2" ball.

For light trucks there is an automatic maul coupler according to DIN size 40 and there is DIN size 50 (mm pin)
They release the pin by lever, and theres a button in the back of the maul that pushes the pin in when touched by the tow eye

For agriculture we have K80 ball hitch and for gooseneck tankers on the back of an articulated tractor or Xerion, there is a 110mm ball hitch.

We have no confusion here, fortunately.

Europe... land of $1000 ball hitches and couplers. :ROFLMAO:

It's honestly a great system, but my God... the prices! I swear, I still don't understand how the toothpicks upon which your economy stands haven't all given out, yet.

I’m not sure what that listing translates to in American dollars but I’m not sure why they need a 4” trailer ball. A standard American 2-5/16 gooseneck ball and hitch can be bought with at least a 30,000 pound rating. If it’s heavier than that it’s time to get a semi and use a kingpin.

It's not a $1000 ball hitch.

A good quality ball coupler is only about €60 to €70. Comes with wear indicator, auto latch and latch indicator.

Like Renze said, this is only good up to 7700 lbs which is the max toe rating a light duty vehicle can have. Above that is the other style he showed.

A light duty vehicle is any vehicle with a gross weight up to 7700 lbs.
