Ha! I had guessed this would be about untangling fences from under a rotary cutter.

Wretched stuff indeed.

My neighbor decided to use it around the 8' posts to secure his garden. All it does is cut up the deer who jump through it anyway, sad.

Same, I thought for sure it would be a tangled brush hog picture, haha.

I wish! Of course it was my already bunged up ankle which found it.

Nothing like wandering the woods on a beautiful fail day , when your progress is stopped by barbed wire a foot off the ground hidden in the brush.

or digging up pieces of 70 year old fence wire that isn't good for anything except to poke a hole in something.

The orchard I used to work in was once enclosed with 8 feet of sheep fence, topped with barbed wire. 100 years later the sheep fence is mostly rotted away while the barbed wire is partially gone, with other sections sagging between trees. I cut one section out because it was right at neck level.

Guess you guys will hate me, just finished running a bit over 2 linear miles of Barb Wire mostly through the woods. 5 strand of shiny new 4 barb high tensile.

I have removed miles of old rusted 12ga barb wire and the associated field fencing for the last decade and half, I do know the other side of it as well.

I understand why you use it, but like anything it needs to be taken care of when not being used anymore.

And it's still nasty stuff.
