Sold my Gooseneck moved to a tag along equipment trailer

Correct… it’s a beefy trailer. 10k payload and some change. 11k would overload it.

11k should scale out legally if you had 1,000 pounds on the hitch.

Bumper Pull = Tag Along... I have a Ram 3500 DRW (Max Tow) Package, with a very heavy rear bumper, receiver hitch, the new trailer takes a 2 5/16 ball instead of the gooseneck ball. I pull a triple axle toy hauler with a B&W Companion Hitch (5th Wheel) as well.

I will add some pics when I get home.
You have excellent taste in trucks.
I am a proud 2020 Ram 5500 4x4 owner.
I love this truck. Pulls anything and has been pretty reliable and fuel efficient.

What does your 5500 get mpg wise? This truck is getting 9.5 which I thought was pretty bad. I doubt my Volvo with a D13 is getting much worse.

I’m getting 10-11 towing @45,000lbs, and 15 lightly loaded. Weights 11,000lbs empty with fuel cell, tools, etc.
Just getting broken in with 60,000 miles.
Best truck ever owned. Would buy another, and I will when the ZF-8 speed goes in unless they get rid of Cummins, which I really doubt will happen.

The Ford got 9.5 on the trip home empty, 9.5 with a 6500 pound camper on a 120 mile trip, and 9.5 with that trailer in picture the with a skid steer or mini x. The emissions system is intact.

I’d want a lot more than 9.5 empty.
If I drive my Ram for a couple weeks without towing, I can get up to 14 around town.
If towing constantly, it’ll be at about 11.

Never do long highway trips. Would expect a fair amount higher.

My Ram is a 2020 3500 DRW with the Max Tow package. It has 4.10 gears, the Cummins HO and Aisin, along with the Ram Air Ride auto level suspension. Pulling my 5th wheel toy hauler up to West Virginia to ride the Hatfield / McCoy trails, fully loaded, I was pulling right at 20k pounds. I got a hand calculated 9.8 mpg average. My truck is completely stock now, I do want to get rid of the DEF / AGR stuff. I still also need to delete the grid heater.

60k miles of absolute flawless performance. RAM did change out my CP4 fuel pump to the CP3. No issues.

I love this truck!
