Don't have to read of it to know it is going to be a problem.

Then again you are still trusting the media to be fair? The media is going bananas over "EVs exposed to salt water catching fire!" but then drill down to the government data they claim to have 48 lithium-ion fires, 11 EVs of which they seem to include cheap Chinese electric bicycles, the remainder is other lithium-ion things oh-by-the-way-also-too such as cellphones, laptops, power tools. But don't pay any attention to that, 11 of 48 fires are EVs and EVs are the story!
Could be.
Storms and flooding is nothing new for Florida unless you subscribe to the global warming religion.
They’re well aware of storm damage potential since it’s happened forever.
Here’s an easy read of the basics there.
I can’t seem to get a simple link but just copy/paste in your browser

From superstition, I never gas up if I see the tank truck delivering. I think it is stirring up whatever water is in the tank, and I don't want that in my car.

Doug in SW IA
With ethanol in gasoline there is no water in the bottom of the tank.

Initially this was a huge problem when there was water in the bottom of the tank and the station received it's first delivery of "gasohol". That existing water contaminated the fuel, ruined it for any use.

Was quickly learned the tank had to be checked before the first ethanol-laced fuel was added.

What about those folks that recently took delivery of the $100,000 cybertruck.

Tesla is having people refuse delivery of them with the price dropped to $78,000.

Prices have been coming down over the past year or so.

Cybertrucks have been out now for what???.... 6 months or so.

I'm thinking there is more to this then what your willing to see.
I don't see the relationship between Cybertruck and Model Y.

Nobody currently getting to the head of the line ever saw a Cybertruck but online at the time of the order. Once one sees what it is, sees one in person, some are certain to have a change of heart.

You don't seem to know "corrosion" is what we call copper or aluminum "rust". Rust is oxidation. Corrosion is oxidation.
Corrosion can be oxidation, sulfation, calcification (ice melters), chlorination (road salt), or fluoridation. The green patina on copper is hydrated CuCl2.

More interesting news about how great the EVs aren,t !

But, BEV 's are outpacing the regular market, Some of this must be from the dropping prices on new and used EV's.
111000 EV registrations in August. That is Up 18% over last year. 8.6% of all vehicle sales in 2024 which is also up over 2023.

Pretty good bargains out there right now for low mile used EV's , It still holds true that anyone who buys NEW should expect to take a hit on the purchase as soon as it is driven off of the lot. If you want new you do have to pay more pretty simple.
