My grandson got a sort of mini trampoline, a web and canvas contraption to go over an inner tube. My wife went to a local commercial tire repair shop and asked for a tube. They gave her 2 used tubes at no charge.

Could probably use rubber cement and fold the ends over very neat and clean (as clean as an old inner tube can be...)

I thought about using a large piece of round wood, like a clothes closet dowel and a hose clamp too. Haven't tried it yet. If you leave a few inches of tube loose on the ends, it makes good handles to pick them up.

Sometimes I hook bungee cords through the bailing wire to "tie things down", like running the cord through the handles of empty fuel jugs to keep them from blowing out.

For the folks that are using inner tubes full of sand, would the small swimming pool cover water bags work well enough if they were partially filled with sand ?

The ones I've used for my pool cover are thinner, and not mechanically as durable as an inner tube. But on the flip side, most of the good ones are UV-resistant, whereas inner tubes are not.

Having used those water bags, I'd expect they'd not last that long in the back of a truck, as they're pretty easy to tear with other gear you tend to put in the back of trucks.

Hmm. Might work very well. I assume since they are for outdoor use they must be made with some UV resistance. Just cut one end off to fill with sand and re-seal with your favorite method (chip clip?). Worth a try.

Welp, so much for that Idea. I was looking forward to some fun colors for a change too...:(

There are an unbelievable number and types of sand bags available from simple bags to bags setup with velcro tabs to anchors for canopys.

I give up.

Do I see pictures of hauling something wrong? NO. What I see are a bunch of whiners who want it to be the 1800's, when women couldn't vote, only rich whites could, because metric, which their money IS based on, is soooooo damn hard for their simple minds to understand.
