It was fun to do this project.
Comment if you have any better way to do.
Thanks

Looks good. That's my kind of project!
My old boss got a new one once and gave me the old one since I was the only one who could start it, really pissed him off :p
It was a big 5kw unit with no wheels I put a pair of fixed wheels on one end and stand and handles on the other end so I could move it like a wheelbarrow but still have it reasonable stationary for pulling the cord.
after I retired I used so intermittently it needed a carb rebuild each use . So I bought a new propane unit and gave the old beast to a young contractor.

If it were me, I'd just fasten the generator to the dolly.
That's what I do. 4 zipties and I'm done. Zipties and Harbor Freight dollies go well together. I also put my mac2400 air compressor on a HF dolly, about 10 years ago.

That is not good for me.
I am carrying the generator around the property with a tractor loader repairing the fence, water well tank air refill and even tractor repair in the field very frequently.

I don't see what difference it makes if the wheels are on the dolly or the generator. They're the same wheels either way.

I put an inline shutoff valve on mine to be able to easily run the carburetors dry after use. Rebuilding or replacing carburetors isn't my favorite activity.

All the best,

Peter

My 60's PowrKraft 230AC is on a wide hand truck intended for torch bottles. First owner widened the hand truck, crude but effective. The welder is the size of a Tombstone, too heavy to move around if it weren't on wheels.

I have a pair of bicycle training wheels I'll use someday to make a carrier for my mig welder. If I ever get around to it.

For now that welder lives on the small HF dolly. I added a hand towbar to the dolly. Sorta convenient.
