diesel heater

i had to replace the ingition switch on my 2210D, some wires where not connected to switch after i wires switch, my diesel heater wire is hot all the time, is it suppose to be. thanks

Google says Yanmar tractor engine intake manifold heater. It may have a power supply available to a switch all the time but the heater itself should not be hot.
