What is some of your Pet Peeve's

Competitive eating champions always seem to be some skinny guy from Japan or other southeast Asian country, never the big fat guy from Alabama or Texas. There must be a physiological reason for that.

Look up Joey Chestnut:

World record holder eater. One competitor said you train by drinking incredible amounts of water to stretch your stomach.
It has to be very dangerous.
Imagine having to unstop his throne the next day.

Modern White Goods; frig, stove, washer/dryers all seem to have wifi features. Who in their right mind would want to tie these in to their home network?

You don't need to check your refrigerator remotely on the way home to find out if you need milk? What are you, one of these guys who make a list before leaving in the morning, or somebody with a wife?

I was researching a washer I liked, which comes in two sizes. One of the "cons" of the smaller machine is that it isn't wifi compatible.
That's the one I'll be getting.

It seems it's a skinny little woman who does it.
One time some of my family came over for a BBQ.
I had some thick beauties to do.
Finished they were large dinner plate size. No room on that plate for any sides.
My niece who I thought might be lucky to finish a 3rd of one polished off the whole thing and made a good dent in a second one I thought I'd have the next day.
If she hit the scales at 100-105lbs was questionable.
Me, 220lbs had a half and gave up.
She also kept pace with the sides. Baked taters, salad...

Sometimes the little fireballs have metabolisms such they are always hungry…

Pet peeve: Folks who drive behind you on dark country roads with their highbeams on. I'm not talking about the person who forgets they're on, and kills them the next time an oncoming vehicle passes, but the a--holes who turn back to brights after each oncoming car passes. It's not only rude, but it creates a safety hazard for the person being tailed.

If flashing my cargo light a few times won't get them to turn down their brights, I'll pull over, let them pass, and then ride their ass with my high-intensity highbeams on their rear window, awhile. Maybe they'll learn something from that, maybe not, but it does make me feel better.

I slow down to the point that they pass me and just as they pull back in I hit my high beams and ride their tail for a while.
What I also hate is those super intense lights. You think they have their highs on and flash them.
Then they hit their highs and you have an upper body X-ray for your next Dr. visit on the back of your seat.
There is a legal limit but I don't think it's ever enforced.

OkI open my window, reach out and move my mirror. Most people get the message. Years ago a friend (while in the front passenger seat) told of using the rear view mirror to shine the lights back into the offending drivers eyes. He said the guy quickly backed off.

There are DOT compliant lights and there are off road lights. The former is a lot more pricey, so I suspect that most people cheap out. Laws regarding it seem to be enforced about as much as those restricting loud pipes on Harley's and pickups.

I'm sure the statute of limitations has passed for this story.
As a teenager I and a few friends would go to this place Saturday morning that sold military surplus, their delivery trucks arrived Friday night. Everything was 15c a pound and it was like Christmas. One box said "Airplane landing light 12 VDC". At home unboxed was this very large incandescent lamp which I put in a metal container with a handle. I wired it with a 50A switch, heavy gauge wire & battery clips.
You couldn't run it long it got very hot. I fixed it so the driver had switch access & I held light.
We're going down this road & behind us was a tailgater with high beams...so I aimed light where I thought it should be then told my driver friend "hit it!". It shined right on the driver's face, he & another guy dropped their beers and the '63 Impala went off somewhere over the hill.
It was so bright going down a highway at night with street lights it would turn them off aimed at the photocell.
You could shine it into a house at night just for a couple seconds...wait and they'd always pull back the curtains to see what it was...hit the switch and they'd stagger back falling over furniture.
One house an old woman stepped out on her porch with a pistol...but light in her face saved the day (I mean night).
We were devilish teenagers!
