A refillable butane chefs torch. I was tired of using bic lighters to start the stove so went for a fancy torch, one that lights easy, and throws a wicked flame. Then I realized menards had some cheap ones in their bargan bin for a few bucks, so we stocked up. Now they are everywhere - toolbox, garage, stove, pickup, camper. Got rid of all the "cigarette" lighters, and no need to carry around a plumbers torch for non plumbing stuff.

I use those butane 'long end' BBQ torches to light my paper&kindling for my wood burner heater.

Welder gloves for inserting the wood... especially at 0230... (I'm not physically wearing much[to no] clothing at that time of the morning. )

Egg cartons + dry kindling = 1 match fire starter

Kids bought me one of these cheap dollar store electric bellows as a stocking stuffer a few years ago. Works surprisingly well to get the coals glowing the next morning!

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃.

So many people talk about collecting the ash out of the stuff so often. I try to collect the ash as little as possible!

The ash sends particulates floating all over every time you scoop them. I prob collect my ash once a month or so with daily fires. Lots of ash will bury the hot coals in the night so you can more easily rev the fire back up in the morning.

This is my favorite accessory that I do not have yet lol. Hoping to make one in the next week or so.

Bought a bunch of them as well on sale in the 'bargain bin' at the front of the store and they are refillable as well. Nice pocket sized torch with a substantial butane vessel. Problem with a butane lighter like a BIC is your fingers are way too close to the flame when igniting anything and I've used the one in the shop for soldering wires and shrinking shrink wrap wires too. Nice pinpoint flame and no torched fingers either. The price was excellent. Excellent to the point where, when they expire, tossing them isn't a big deal.

For 89 bucks you can make your own for less.
