We had state wildlife lady over this morning. It went well, she feels we can confidently do it, with a small amount of work.
Kyle, with the pond and fields you have a natural habitat that has food and water. Which wildlife will benefit from your habitat? Will you have to plant food plots? Hope your wife gets some relief and sleep.

51˚ dropping to 38˚ tonight with a N wind. Just got back from the neighborhood Christmas party & meal with vegan option. It was over with at 7 PM, got to love these retirement communities. Our rain event was .2" the last two days. I'll have to check to see if the burn ban has been lifted or if the gas fire pit is exempt. I'm ready to roast marshmallows.

Rain chances are 40% tomorrow and 70% Saturday. The "Adventure Farm" has already sent out an e-mail that they will be closed Saturday because of the predicted thunder showers.
Edit - We might get a few snowflakes early in the morning!!!! (but they say anything for clicks)
Edit 2 - the "Adventure Farm" sent out an email to fill 42 shifts the week the kids are out for the Christmas Holidays. No tractor vacancies are listed so I'll still be off during the week.

Good evening all. 40ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, breezy. Moderate wind, brisk gusts, partly cloudy sky, and high temp was 51ºF. High temps going up and down during 10 day period and some rain over weekend. got taxes check mailed, mowed back yard, found 15 golf balls. Mower ran good till inside the fence, where it is so round motor kept cutting out. When do let it run on concrete and smoothed out :) Stopped by stepdaughter's to get some ham and beans leftovers and pet Bonnie her mini Australian shepherd. Rode 30 miles after lunch, got short nap in.

Frits the reason for how the airplanes are handled is noise abatement. Departing planes climb at high power settings so They want to let the climb as fast as possible. Incoming plane are kept lower because the use lower power settings and make less noise as a result.

Drinking first of hot coffee. 7° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 30° with cloudy skies. Grocery shopping went good. Wind sure made it cold. Picked up my Cyber Monday sale from Sams Club. $13.49 for a case of Mobil 1 motor oil. I bought 4 cases. Spent rest of the day staying inside. Going to be another stay inside where it is warm day.
Hawk came back for a visit.

good morning all
30 out now, only going up to 34, continuing cold weather for another two days, then warmer.
possibly a few snow flurries this morning

my trip to rv not very productive yesterday, forgot the keys to rv. Sigh.
I did get the xmas wreath hung on the bike rack though.
back again today with the keys, plus I'm delivering one of my four 30 pound propane tanks to a friend
who needs another for her backup gen. If I do a greenhouse again, I'm using big tanks so I can afford to give one away.
That leaves me one 40 and three full 30's for my gen, which is plenty.

at least I got to visit my friend who lives near where the rv is parked. I enjoyed his new wall tv, think he paid 6k for a 90+ inch
tv, definitely looked nice but tends to overwhelm the room.
I really like the Samsung Frame tvs that look like wall paintings when you turn them off.
I saw a big McIntosh a/v received attached, yet not sure he even watches movies.

I have followed stereo equipment since my early 20's, plus I owned a Radio Shack and sold stereo, so have kept up somewhat with consumer electronics.
most of today's a/v equipment is so complicated I prefer the controls of older equipment, knobs instead of keypads.
Have a friend with a Sonus whole house system and I found the multiple remote controls very confusing. Plus I didn't think it sounded all that good.

The inexpensive KEF speakers I put in my office sound so good with my PS Audio Sprout amplifier that I have little motivation to improve.
It would take ten times the cost for speakers to get something appreciably better. Have my eye on the PS Audio FR5 speakers, their smallest bookshelf speakers. Not this year, between rv trip and new garden shed, not in budget.
That amplifier goes on sale apparently each Christmas, bought mine last year.

Popgadget and I have great discussions on this. He is a genuine musician who listens to the music and not enamored with technology.
I like the electronics, maybe because I used to build Heathkits. And I can't tell a clef from a ?

Hope Plowhog and Rigby are doing well.

Roasted coffee yesterday...let my wife pick the green coffee from my inventory.

May try to cut a Christmas tree today, and need to restock the wood rack on the porch...woodstove has been extra hungry lately.

Good morning, the low is 12 and going to a high of 18°F. Wind WNW 9 mph. Periods of light snow.

I'll go out to plow at 7:30 this A.M. The tow truck should arrive here at about 8:30 to drag the Dodge into the shop to install a new battery.
I will plow me out totally and then go do the others.

Ron, nice shot of the hawk.

Drew, the only thing I remember from my years (grades 5 through 8) in the choir is a treble clef and a base clef. I have no idea about the notes.

Have a safe day all
