Good evening, 39 high was 42 felt colder

Made a trip to town to get a few things. Hauled firewood up from the barn on the RTV and loaded the tub inside. Also brought up a bucket of sticks for start up.
Organized some of the electrical supplies to rework the aux wiring on the van from the house battery.
Found most of the terminals and wiring as well as tools. The terminals are the kind that needs to be hit with a heat gun to seal up.

D is doing well holding down the fort since most of her management is out. The old department is not doing well and there is certain amount of "Schadenfreude" as the Germans say.

a skein of Mrs Popgadget's alpaca yarn has been mailed off to NM.
She was nice to donate this to our friend. Enough for two caps.

found a small USPS mailer that worked nicely.

not sure I can stand the excitement but I have a load of laundry to put away and
socks to match. I'd like Wagtail's sock fairy to come make it all disappear...oh, he has Aussie faeries.

168 gallons of fuel oil delivered today. Heard a loud whine and saw the truck out on the street.
tank was just under half full, recent cold spell I'm sure has kept driver busy.
very reliable delivery service from Ottsville. I still have a good credit balance with them.
they cleaned the burner earlier this year. I have it done every other year.

am looking forward to working in garage this weekend as weather warms up.
don't care if it rains, just get above 50

have a really good bottle of champagne (Ver Clicquot) I was given last year and still haven't drank it.
need to find someone to share it with, maybe for New Years eve dinner. I bought some flounder today.
maybe I could poach it in champagne...
And I'll be asleep by 9pm as usual.

I have lived in several houses with radiant heat in floor, we always had the problem you are talking about, lots of people in the house could have windows and door open to cool the place. Hope deliveries and shopping went well.
Bill hope plowing went well if needed, Warm air aloft can produce rain then freezes in the freezing air below. You can get inches of ice in a hurry.

Gas grill croaked mostly have lots of parts to replace. Raining presently but light 35 degrees 60 by Sunday then really cold by next Thursday high upper 20s. This will be a big change and have some staying power. Somebody on East Coast will get big snow or two out of this.

Don in this setup Texas will get missed but storms and tornados east of you on going now.

Got some stuff put up outside car back inside garage. Putting up other stuff had great breakfast of scrambled eggs bacon etc. Really good even if I made them. Might have small grill in building my dad had never used maybe good alternative.

Got two loads of clothes done more to do, kitchen cleaned up cook top polished.

Coffee is cooling in cup. 47° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 54° with partly cloudy skies. Got whole house filters install completed yesterday. No more unwanted showers when changing filters. Today will be cleanup day and putting tools away. Need a trip to Menards to return fittings I did not use.
Snow has melted here. But it will return with the new year.
