People deliberately messing with you in traffic.
I'm taking wife to doctor and hour ago. All is well and a bit of road construction. No workers, just 10 orange traffic cones where there's 30 feet of gravel. Idiot in front of us STOPS! So I lightly tap the horn. Now two people flipping us off...s-l-o-w-l-y go ahead...so I scoot around and go. Now they nail it...the fight is on...but we made it fine. Now I make sure car's ok, idiots went on their way.
I hate people who do things like that. If somebody wants to play games they should buy a Monopoly board.

I know it's been said already in this thread, but... modern spray paint cans. I pulled the battery out of my zero turn this morning, and of course the tray rusting. No worries, the metal is thick, just a few minutes with a wire brush and needle scaler to clean it up.

I grab a can of Rustoleum "rusty metal primer" from my bin, it was used earlier this year but properly inverted to clear the nozzle, as is my usual habit. I start spraying, and get most of the battery tray primed before it clogs hard. Clog is not in the nozzle, as always anymore, it's in the feed tube inside the can.

I let that dry, then grab an already half-used can of Rustoleum Farm and Implement "JD Green". No matter how I shake it, I can't get consistent spray unless I hold it perfectly up-right. No good, toss it.

Then I grab a new, unused can of Rustoleum Farm and Implement "John Deere Green". Not sure why one is labeled "JD Green" and the other "John Deere Green", the caps are the same color. It's clogged, right off the bat, just got a small spritz.

Then I grab a third, also unused can of Rustoleum Farm and Implement "JD Green". Second brand new can, clogged before I ever got to them. These were all bought inside the last year.

Then I grab a fourth can, some half-used off-brand (TSC?) of unknown age in JD Green, and after shooting nothing but clear solvent for a few seconds, it works well enough to shoot two full coats. I'll try for a third after lunch.

Rustoleum used to be the best name in rattle cans, when I was a kid. I always knew their "One Touch" and "2X" products were crap, but their classic stuff has always worked great. Tractor Supply used to carry Valspar's Farm and Implement line, which always worked well enough, but now they have this Rustoleum crap that just clogs right out of the box.

The worst part of it is the clog always seems to be in the feed tube, down inside the can. So no amount of nozzle cleaning will resurrect a clogged assembly.

I “HAD” those problems until I started heating the cans..
Really HOT water works too..
Last couple of days/weeks we’ve had some cold temps in the 20’s/30’s.. enough to pull out the electric heater..
I simply put the can on it or in front of it and pick it up a time or 3 and give it a good shake and no more spritz..
Like I said, real hot water works too..

I just pitched a brand new can last week.
Next time I will give your idea a try.
It sounds like a 1500 watt milkhouse heater would work.

My experience with recent Rustoleum matches yours.

Bruce
I still have some new 30 year old cans and grabbed one last week and sprayed perfect… semi flat black from the 90’s

I seem to have been getting a lot of clogs myself lately, though it seems fairly brand agnostic.
Has anyone else noted that the "invert can" to clear the nozzle doesn't seem to work on a lot of modern rattlecans? Just sprays paint as if it were right side up.

Just got back from a bit of a highway road trip. I use cruise control alot, bad knees. And it happens all the time that the car being overtaken will realize they are just under the posted speed, so they speed up while you are attempting on overtake. And will follow you side by side till I have to go much faster, or go off the cruise control setting to fall back. If I fall back, they will then settle back in to a slower than posted speed. And then repeat the same actions when you later want to over take them.

^^^^
Even on the interstate, I always speed up beyond the CC speed when passing a car. I don't like having somebody in my own blind spot when they're passing at .5 mph faster than I am, so try not to stay in someone else's.

Not quite what you described however.
