Good morning!!!!

Looks like my neighbor made a pass down my driveway.

I remember dad using a dump rake in my younger years, before we got a hay baler. The fun of forking hay in a hot barn. Someone bought it for scrap metal years ago.

Good Morning to all who celebrate! 26 and 3-5" of snow. I had an interesting morning, woke up and checked to make sure we had a plowable amount. Got all set, started the trudge out to the barn and lo and behold, Dad parked within 3 feet of the garage door.

I'm good, but I'm not that good. Getting the keys to move the truck would have caused me to wake the dog up, and when the dog is up EVERYONE is up. So this being roughly 7:20am, I decided discretion is the better part of valor. Changed into work clothes and jumped into my truck to battle the roads.

I can tell PENNDOT and the county both thought this would be a nothing of a storm, as the roads were in rough shape. 4wd was required and even then there were some hairy moments. Then it was a corporate meeting from 8am on, followed by getting ready for our phone system migration at the main office tomorrow. Still hope to get out early today to tackle the driveway.

Otherwise, this should be a fairly standard week. Of course, the insulated bib overalls I ordered will be delivered later this week, so I'm sure that will fill me with comfort while I shiver on the tractor.

Oh well, such is life.

Prayers for those ailing or recovering! Those of you that are well stay well and be safe out there y'all!

67°F and 0 rain.

Pretty much a relaxing day yesterday.

Will start a new round of mowing today as many of you are inundated with snow. Be careful out there.

Happy Hour in town. Need to pickup a couple pieces of fence hardware. Should have items for pickup at PO.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I could get a really fun shot of taking lawn mower with bagger out in this stuff and "mowing" a path through front yard.
probably would clog up bagger fan in a hurry.
probably would need a great deal of alcohol to do that...

burned a finger on muffler of leaf blower, lifting it up to blow snow off truck
maybe Santa will bring you a cordless blower next year....

hand shoveled the driveway, only one inch, fairly light, easy to just push the shovel.
Neighbor down the way was running their snow blower, picking up a little, which i would do also if I had a paved driveway.

friend in Milton DE has about 8 inches of snow.
he is using the same Craftsman snowblower he bought 31 years ago.
Needless to say, he takes good care of it.
He has other EGO equipment so no question that will be the replacement, but
the darned thing won't die. Of course it doesn't have a huge number of hours on it like a mower.
He pumps up the slowly leaking tire and takes the spark plug out and cleans it.

going to be a cold and windy week.
I'm looking for a little adventure...

Don, go use your hot tub in the cold weather.
I don't think I'd get out

12°F. Trip to North Bay was uneventful. Did a steady 70 mph going up (roads were a little damp) and a steady 75 mph (roads were dry) coming home. [The horse ALWAYS run fastest when it is heading for the barn.]
Lunch meeting with the guys was fun. These were the two guys that used to load me when I was hauling the tar. They work for the sister company to ours from before Colas bought us both out.

You guys dealing with that snow down there, get a local kid to shovel you out. Heavy wet snow is a heart attack waiting to happen, no matter what shape you are in.
