Used impliments and FB Market

I just read this for the first time. I know they are rather outdated but $1200 for a very used disc harrow? Maybe it's time to sell mine.

The box blade actually seemed reasonably priced.

This is more my style for a rebuild.

Why is it always the red paint. Not even that familiar with this spreader, but why would you paint the drive chain and sprockets? Do you think they de-greased it first? I almost hope they painted over the grease, cause otherwise that chain is going to be a pain. Atleast if it was greasy when painted, it should free up, and flake offView attachment 2179743View attachment 2179744

Probably worth $200 before they painted it.

I do understand a quick paint job, and I don't even blame them for not wire wheeling, ect; but 1; use a peice of card board to minize over spray on the galv hopper, and 2; you intentionally went to afford to paint the chain and sprocket? Why.

It does look good, but I don't blame anyone for not painting the bottom plows and that kinda stuff. With ground engaging impliments, I don't hold rust against them. I just feel like you can spend 2 minutes and use a cardboard spray shield or a trash bag over tires, simple kinda stuff. I often wonder if some of these people even know what an item is used for that they are selling, or understand how it works?

Thanks, it turned out nice, disassembled, sandblasted, painted, assembled and then new decals. The moldboards, shins and shares are painted because I won't be in the dirt again. I have other plows for that.

It's the old '5 gallon finish'. People for some ungodly reason think a coat of cheap rattle can paint on everything makes a shot, worn out item good again.

Years ago I was looking at JD 4020 Diesels for the heck of it and just about everyone I looked at had the '5 gallon finish' applied right over the old, crusted on grease that was never removed.

You won't find that on my tractors as the excess spuged out grease gets removed after greasing. I have a bad habit pf brushing up against grease and getting it on my clothes and that don't make the wife overly happy so it gets removed after greasing.

Nothing better than paint applied over grease to increase the sale value....
