Here's a little info on varnish with synthetic oil:
While it's less likely compared to conventional oil, a diesel engine can still experience varnish build-up from synthetic oil, especially if the engine is already heavily contaminated with sludge, as the synthetic oil can sometimes loosen and dislodge existing deposits, potentially causing varnish to form if not properly managed through regular oil changes; however, high-quality synthetic oils generally have additives that help prevent varnish buildup due to their superior oxidation stability.
Personally when I purchase a new vehicle I only use
pure synthetic never mix the two and never had any
kind of problems with varnish or sludge and I run
7 to 10k oil changes
