Think that is an empty trailer? Nothing connected to the winch line. Jon

In contrast UPS pays well. People work up the ladder from packer to driver, stay there, but with rigorous standardization and tight schedules that some people wouldn't want to live under.
I would say most people would not be able to handle UPS life. It is down right grueling. Even just preloading is enough to wipe you out. Being a farmer I laughed at the video when it said it is the most intense physical workout you can get. They were not wrong and there are days I wish I was in a hay mow all day long than loading trucks. Absolutely hate unloading the trailers. I can't take enough pills to kill the pain. When loading trucks you have your 3 but if in trailers your unloading 4(24'?) trailers by yourself handling everybody's packages for 21 trucks ranging from an envelope to bordering 200 lbs.

Think of the most physically demanding, work it for 8-10 hours. That's UPS except crammed in to approx. 4 hours a day

Fed Ex usually delivers on time around here, we just never know to which house they delivered our packages. I'd not be exaggerating if I claimed their delivery accuracy was as bad as 50% in our neighborhood, which is strange, since there are only a half dozen houses on our road, with every address clear as day atop a mailbox at the end of each driveway. You'd almost have to try to screw it up.
Whenever we get a substitute or new driver it takes a while for things to smooth out.

Can't really blame the driver since many roads don't have names, and consequently no house numbers. Add to that the often hopelessly off GPS locations. I don't envy them.

I worked in a warehouse and my daily job was to unload railroad boxcars full of cases of hard liquor and wine. It was all stacked on the floor and up to about 6' high.

I progressed up to loading trucks the same way, all on the floor but only 4' high or less, that was much easier.

Finally graduated to forklift operator. WooHoo, just pull a lever. (y)

Yea, obviously he should have had the jack's wheel down!!!!
Okay... show of hands... who else has forgotten that damn jack wheel is down, and gone driving down the road like that?

Me: "What's that bang, every time we go over a bump?"

Passenger: "I think it's just the hitch jostling in the receiver."

Nope! Luckily I only went a short distance before stopping to investigate.

I will not name names but I know of someone that failed to fully raise a jack that was NOT equipped with a wheel once.
