So, why is TYM is down in the "other tractors" group, while machines built by TYM for other nameplates are up at the "big kids" table?

No respect. No respect at all.

I have zero complaints about my TYM. I agree, they should sit at the big kids table by now.

Few years ago TYM was at the big boy table. When RK came along TYM was moved to the other tractor brands...

It makes the "other guys" feel better. This way they're not reminded that they spent WAY too much money on their silly colored tractors.

They should at least get credit for taking in orphans (Branson) ;)

And acquiring Kukje.

Kukje has been making Yanmar parts for the past 60 years. And even is licensed to build Yanmar engines and tractors in Korea.

RK tractors are TYM+Kukje+Yanmar

Among the LS and Kioti brands, TYM is further up the ladder.

LS has been plagued with problems since 2019. Even recalling two tractor models and replacing them with different models due to twisted frames.

Kioti machines were fine until after 2021. Getting parts and warranty work has dropped into a black-hole.

TYM has had a few ups and downs after the Branson purchase. Some Branson models immediately had no supplier parts as a had competitor made them.

Even the big boys have problems. Deere especially.

More salt into the wounds, the global economy is hurting. And with people not coming back to do manual labor jobs of making parts, it hurts everyone in the supply chain.

If anyone is looking for a machine, find one with a good track record, global engine to get parts anywhere and most of all verify the dealer near you will not let you hang out to dry. This goes for most brands up high or mid-way on the ladder.

It bothers me that the sub-brands made by TYM are in the strings with the real tractors. Perhaps they should be sub-forums under a TYM Forum.
