Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 6:45AM. Areas of fog early, then partly cloudy this afternoon. High 66F. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph.

Not that I'm thinking of moving to Texas, Kyle, but why would you penalize people moving to Texas by requiring them to pay property taxes if the "been theres" don't? I think I'd be more concerned about how Texas is going to pay for the goods and services that are currently funded by property taxes. Are there shortages of goods and services that can be attributed to a large influx of new mouths to feed? Are you worried that state politics might swing to the left? All you have to do to discourage migration to Texas is show 'em some photos of your cracked mud pastures, fire ant hills, and pickup trucks with gun racks in the back windows.🤣

I did get the last pallet of firewood stacked yesterday. The stack is now a few inches higher than the 6' board fence, so I hope the back neighbors don't complain. All they can see is a silver tarp, but this is the 'burbs.

Also got a few things on order from Amazon, not much else accomplished. Need to mop out van, then make a dump run and probably get a few more ads up. Not sure what else I'll get into.

Hope everybody's week gets started in the right direction...

Had to .drive around some downed pines and stop every now and then to move branches off the road.
garbage cans flying around.
But got almost everything on my shopping list at HD.
Except the end cap j-channel plastic, but don't need that to put up the panels.
As usual, had to go through about 6 pieces of OSB before I found one that was not bowed, cupped or covered in knots.

Good Afternoon Drew,
Hoping you get your power back by 6 or even sooner ! Tonite will be really cold ! 🙏
came back an hour ago, kinda out of the blue which suggests to me problem was much further up the road and a lot of folks
here just got happy.
and quiet returns to the neighborhood.
someday battery tech will let us back up our own power affordably. Not yet.

so what size battery would I need to give me 25kw continuously for seven days?
likely bigger than my house and a garage full of inverters

tonight is going to be very cold, lot more for you Scott.
put another log on

Oh, about 200kw+ without means to charge, less with solar charging. That’s about 53 of my batteries @$3k each. I only have about day and a half

That is technically way over my head Drew ! I’m guessing PopG could answer that question! I’m thinking you are probably correct on your assumption! 🤣
