Well, the plow is all done for now. The last section was a lane to my compost piles and promptly buried in right up to the frame. The only part of the tractor that was moving was the tires, forward or backward, bucket was no help either. Called the tow truck and he winched me out. That'll probably cost me about $80.oo.
Every snow we've had this winter has been dry powdery stuff. So I don't really have a good base going back to the piles. I'll go into town tomorrow and settle up the bill.

14F clear sky winds been howling loud  windchill hanging around -8F to -13F sure does get on attend ion real quick when outside.
I bundle up shovel frozen snow back side of house walkway and steps, talk about working harder not smarter 🙄 no way I was going to use snowblower in the high winds, late afternoon half driveway drifted 1-1 1/2 foot....arrrr.

Plans for the evening...feet up hold down the recliner watch movie, but most of all enjoy wood furnace heat.

Enjoy your evening all.

Those dealing with flooding power outages stay safe.

16°F and cloudy this morning, got up to 25° today, which is where we are now.

The weather guessers have us all over the board for snowfall accumulations this week; anywhere from 1" to as much as 14". Talk about covering your behind ...
The one thing they all do agree on is that it will be cold. High tomorrow will only be 18°. Overnight lows will be in the single digits for the rest of the week.

On the bright side, we'll be back up into the 50s next week.
February in the Midwest.

Looks like a well-equipped bench, Paul.

Amazing no one died in that plane crash in Toronto.

Good afternoon, gents.

Thomas get warm and stay warm
toasty warm in my office now that power is back on
17 tomorrow morning, thankfully my heated seats and steering wheel
get warm when I remote start the car.
I'll be waiving at Popgadget tomorrow morning as I pass his yellow mail box headed for Souderton to the
very nice Mennonite truck mechanic I use. Then old friend from Lederach will pick me up and we'll go to breakfast in New Hope
at breakfast spot just opened by an old employee of mine. I want to go in and wish him well, see if he knows how to make coffee...

I've known this budding restauranteur/coffee shop owner since he was small and gave him some menu advice.
very important in this town to have a breakfast sandwich with avocados. Not just heart attack on a plate, he has to offer some
healthier options. Some veggie ying to the deep fried spam yang....

then going to uber back to shop late afternoon, not a convenient trip for anyone

Good Evening
It’s 30° and headed to the teens overnight. Very windy all day lots of trees down and road closures.
I’m pretty sure that our power stayed on continuously. Fortunately the generator works so seamlessly, that an outage overnight could go unnoticed. It’s usually about 30 seconds for the startup and transfer. The covers, the house, the shop and the old folks home.
Looks like the cold will continue all week.

I think that I missed a day or two, been busy and the weather has been “interesting” to put it mildly.
I’ve continued my shop cleanup, revisited the winch project, it’s almost done, I have to add the fairlead mount.
Very happy with the new MIG welder. It did fine with the 5/8” steel.

The weather had me pushing slush down the lane with the tractor, cleaning gutters, and double checking the sump pump. There are two pumps in the hole with a sequencer, I like to verify that they are both functional.
Took the “retired” RAV4 to my buddy’s shop to have home replace the front struts. A lift makes that job infinitely easier, and a younger more ambitious set of hands doesn’t Hurt either.

After I get some dinner tonight, I’ll head out to an odd fellows meeting.

33 going to 43...still windy.

Gusts to 61 at the little local airport. We lost power while we were eating dinner with my son...so had battery "candlelight" until power was restored about 15 minutes later. We were lucky...over 11,000 of our coop customers lost power...many more down in Dominion Power territory.

Check, that's a lot of snow...beautiful, but I'm sure can be a headache. Weather guy put us in the 12+ inches of snow zone for Wed/Thursday...but it always changes.

Lots of rain yesterday morning. Took Della to the park real early, trying to beat the storm arriving...saw cool fog from the snow. Storm beat us by about an hour, so we got drenched...39F and wet, but not bad when exerting.
And that wasn't the end of it. Another maybe 12" Sunday. I personally love it! Last year we had very little snow, and the local economy suffered as a result, because the snowmobilers did not come up.

I don't think I can come up until 2 weekends from now, and get the tractor and 3-point blower fired up. Will definitely look forward to it.

Meanwhile, Toronto got hit pretty good, too!

Big news here. Really windy today, and the speculation is that wind caused the crash. Both wings fell/broke off! 80 souls on board, all survived (so far) but 2 are in hospital in critical condition. The entire airport was closed and all flights in and out have been cancelled. It's gonna be a travel nightmare - Toronto Pearson is a BIG airport!
