Anything over 4" dia is a bit tough to pull because my CUTs/FELs are on the light end for their hp.

Seems like the ads for these pullers on You Tube show them pulling up pretty good sized trees. But looking in the backgrounds, seems like it was always trees in bottom ground where the roots are shallow and the soil is "fluffy". Pretty clever marketing!

Mine just got delivered this morning and much to my dismay, while the company is located here, it plainly states on the carton it came in 'Made in China'. If I had know that ahead of time, I would not have bought it and now I'm doubting how well it's made or if it will even hold up...

On Amazon, it only had a 68% 5 star rating which isn't great being that it just a tool. I looked at the 1 star ratings and many people commented it was made in Ch!na after their's broke or bent.

You can post 'China' on here without fear of retribution....lol

I'll put it to the test shortly and report back and I bought it direct from the 'importer manufacturer'. Looks pretty stout but looks can be deceiving.

I maintain that about the only thing made here today are babies and even those are delivered with Chinese made tools.

Interesting side note.. When they refurbished the Big Boy steam locomotive, the feedwater pumps were shot and they had to buy them from China of all places. Probably rolling on Chinese made roller bearings too.

Least the grapple attachment I purchased for one of my buckets was made here though it was probably made with imported steel. www.greens-machine.com

See how it works. I bought the heavy duty one. Figured with the M9's the drawbar pull would be pretty stout in FWA. If they don't come out, I can always use the stump grinder on them as a last resort. On their website there is a person pulling it with a front end loader bucket (it's a video) and I cringed. Loaders aren't meant for that stuff. Drawbars are.
For that sized tractor, why didn't you get the Extreem model instead of just the HD model?

Well at 90 h.p, you will see how well it's built Purdy quick like if brush and stuff has some size...

I like the chain and pipe trick.

Only difference I can see between the HD and the extreme is the extreme has grab handles on each side. I can weld them on if needed in the shop.

I have numerous Trees of Heaven that need to come out some are 4" in diameter. Problem with grinding them is, they resprout even if I cut them well below grade. They do roast well in the brush pile however.

Pulled a few fairly large spruces in the past. I lop them off about 5 foot up and put a choke chain on the top and pull them out. Problem is, the root ball leaves a heck of a hole I have to fill in and it takes about forever to roast them. The Kubota pulls them with no strain at all. Have 3 quite large stumps to grind this spring, both are over 35" in diameter and one is a 25" er.

The HD uses 3/4" steel (atv and lawn tractors), the xtreem uses 1" steel and is limited to 45hp, the xtreem plus is a whopping 1.5" of steel (tractors and skid steers).
