washed my expedition and made sure to get it dried off quickly so it would not waterspot.
geez this thing is big...seemed like acres of sheet metal to scrub down with pole mop.
but nothing was like washing my 51 foot boat. That had a lot of varnished teak,
took me four hours from start to finish.
thank goodness my wife liked to sand and varnish teak.
old fashioned varnish burns off at about a coat a month in South Florida.
we were always putting two or three coats on.

car was less than half an hour though I didn't spend time on every wheel spoke.
and once I started, really had to hustle when sun came out.
no more waterspotting for me.

Vehicle is so tall no chance of me even seeing the roof.
it was just detailed so know it's clean but likely the next detail is when that roof will get touched again.
I did have the horizontal roof rails taken off and that eliminated some wind noise successfully.

I actually made some progress with the wheel rash, not the metal but the coloration that
made you look at it. I put some polishing compound with a small amount of cleaner wax on some
0000 steel wool and wheels looked a lot better. Have two to go.
Then a trip up to Popgadgets's where we take the two worst ones and use his heavy duty dremel grinder on them.

I need to get into Popgadget's garage before his lawn starts growing.
Then he is kept very busy by his green mistress.
Local apples still good so the apple boss is still paying...

c'mon radishes, I'm running out of coin of the realm

time to do absolutely nothing

Scott got me motivated to take off some decking to see how it would go. Best way was driving the small bar under and getting them started, then pull with crowbar. These are spiral galvanized nails. Some rusted thru.
Got 3 boards done, but one against house has posts on it, so need to either start taking railing off or put temporary post in.
Thinking of picture framing new boards, so need to add another joist both ends.

4100 steps by noon and back is screaming.
but all the pansies got planted, all the flower beds got raked out
and then I got the new hitch installed on the truck.
pretty tight getting the anti rattle gizmo in there.
it will need to get loosened if the vertical height is changed.
but I'll only do it once.

I had a four way once, looked very cool with that towing hook on it.
now I'm more sensible and only want the two balls I use.
no pun intended.

I didn't scrape the driveway today. I may after I go pay the land taxes tomorrow. The high tomorrow is supposed to go to 46°F. Tomorrow night is the last below freezing (25) night for a few days. Rain on the weekend. I'm not afraid of scraping in the rain. Cab and windshield wipers looks after that little detail.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 19.5C and it's presently 24.8C, clear & calm. Yesterday's 'drizzle' resulted in a very welcome 20.0mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Today I'm expecting a call from the plumber to have a look at the Church guttering, so I need to be 'on standby' for his call.

That's about it, take care all.
