Hydraulic Cylinder Doesn't Fully Retract - Normal?

Thanks all! I'll measure the stroke today and ask the vendor. My mild OCD will drive me crazy until I figure this out.

Don't you just love OCD.....:)

Its possible you have a wee bit of air left in the cylinder that hasnt been bled completely. That would be my first guess on a new cylinder install. Do you have any bounce on the cylinder stroke?

I am interested in doing a hydraulic side link on my CK2610. Would you share where you got your cylinder from?

Hi All TBN-ers!

I recently put on a hydraulic side link to my Kioti CK2610. It appears that it doesn't fully retract based on the 'silver' reveal. My hydraulic top link does not have this problem. My question to the group: Is this normal? The pic you are looking at is "fully retracted". Can anyone give me guidance?

Thanks!View attachment 655669
Most likely just from how it was taped off before paint.
How far does it extend, 4"?

Not the OP, but if you want a side link built to provide an equal amount of tilt to BOTH sides, you might want to try Fit Rite Hydraulics. Most side links available for these models do not provide an equal amount of tilt to both sides and still maintain the left side (OEM) dimensions.

Disconnect it from the 3 point hitch (both side) and cycle the piston back and forth with the "bottom" facing up...

It's a 5 year old thread. Hopefully the OP has it figured out by now. 🙂
