Now is the time to buy any vehicle if you need one. So run out and get you one. Once the tariffs go in place, the inflationary effects will make all new and used vehicles go up considerably. Its only a matter of time.

I bought a used Tesla model Y from Tesla Car Company last night.
This is our first electric car. Used Model Y prices are down. There is a $4k tax credit on used EVs too.
I'm pretty excited about this
You did good!
Picketing a showroom to show how people feel about the African and promote a boycott, is one thing. It's the American Way, like that beer boycott. :)

But vandalism, or rolling coal on it after the car is in private ownership, is stupid.

Dunno if I would buy a Model Y, I sure thought about it. But now I would add a bumper sticker:
"Yeah I'm Cheap. But This For $21,000, Well I couldn't Pass It Up!" :p

Democratic pain is my gain.
I don't know if I'll like an electric car or not. So buying a new one seemed overboard and possibly foolish for me. If I like it I can trade it in on a new one down the road.
Meanwhile I'm supporting the people that support me.
I think a Trump sticker or a 2A badge would explain...

Ur Pain is my Gain :ROFLMAO:
I dunno what's dummer. Calling Elon a Naz* or buying a car for $50k and selling it for $20k

I'm amazed how many people are taking a serious look at Tesla now. Most people don't like being bullied.
Saw on X a statement saying no inventory Model Ys available in 33 states. Don't know how they counted, whether the 33 includes states which forbid direct sales by manufacturers or not.

Others tout, "Trade-ins of Teslas way up!" but don't mention sales of new Teslas is also up. Perhaps existing customers trading for new?

I don't know the extent, but an EV subforum over on Reddit has a lot of proud posters who traded in a Y for an Ioniq 5. Which is now US-built.

They say size and performance are similar, much smoother ride and better interior, while the dash software isn't as sophisticated or responsive as what they traded in - but having some buttons in place of everything touch-screen is nice. And they now have access to Tesla's 400 volt chargers which makes long range travel easier. On an 800 volt charger the Ioniq can charge much faster.

We're seeing a transition, Tesla is no longer the only reasonable EV.

There will always be brand loyalty, like Ford vs Chevy. Which truck is better? I've own many of both, they both work. I do read Reddit but ~
Reddit is filled with youngsters who's only concern is having the latest thing and who's only loyalty is to themselves ;) Ooops. Did I say that outloud? :p

It's good to see competition. I'm so use to Tesla's integrated touchscreen that it's hard to drive another EV brand.
Kind of like having an HP in the late 80's (reverse Polish?) and trying to use a TI calculator. ;)

And Tesla allowing other EV brands to use the superchargers will hopfully keep other brands in the EV game.
