Good morning, the low is 28 and going to a high of 32°F. Wind E 11 gusting to 19 mph. Snow or freezing rain.
It doesn't matter which we get, I will be plowing this afternoon.

The tractor is full of fuel and the big tank is empty. I've got approximately 100 gallons left in the house tank. That'll do me about 2 weeks. By that time I should have my income tax rebate in my hot little hand and be able to pay for 6 or 700 gallons of fuel.

I didn't get any pictures of the sea of white, mainly because it all looks the same as the rest of the white pictures I've posted all winter.

The rain is here. I can hear it on the tin roof.

Have a safe day all

good morning all

a quiet Sunday planned after yesterday's workout.
maybe a little final straightening in garden shed but going to take it easy today.
my hands are puffy, can hardly see knuckles on right hand.
body seems to react to irritation by flooding area with fluid. Protective mechanism I think.
nothing new, but just gets worse as I get older. So I have to keep reducing time on job/feet to smaller segments,
like driving the rv only three hours a day. I just can't go all day anymore. After four hours on my feet in the morning.
everything hurts and dumb to continue. I'm retired and tomorrow will come. So says the procrastinator's guild but
just need to pace myself. But when I have a helper, it's on the go all the time. I'm sore but smiling today so all's well.

the very first hairs of grass seed showed up yesterday in the 82 degrees. I should have top coated it all with a
tiny amount of soil but I had raked it in pretty well. Just have to be patient, earth hasn't warmed up yet.
but I bet yesterday's heat was enough in the raised bed veggie gardens to wake up those seeds.

front yard along driveway now transformed from two ugly stumps to a row of rose bushes. Red mini knockout rose nearest
the road, and then three types of mixed golds and other colors. Will have to keep them trimmed to avoid creeping into driveway.
plus one red mini knockout rose in the garden area along neighbor's lane. Had to get cutters for the roots there, Makita planting auger
latches onto that root and rips drill out of my hands. That never feels good at all....have learned to hold on with two hands.
that's probably why my hands are puffy; that auger is utterly wonderful until it hits a root. Then my wrists are the slip clutch and they
don't like that all

high of 63 in clouds today and heavy rain coming in tomorrow.

Morning all!
31 with freezing rain and drizzle. Hopefully warming up to low 40's.
With all the deck work going on here it inspired me to work on my small stairway behind my attached garage. It butted up against my bulkhead and blocked access to the faucet and hose we have there. Also made cleanup a lot harder as this area filled with leaves and couldn't be raked or blown out. Plus "somebody" took out the bottom step with the loader bucket...
Will grab some pics later. It was to wet and I was very tired when we stopped. Still need to add a railing.
Signs of spring finally here!
signsofspring.jpg
To early for us to do anything in the yard. We get snow into late April early May around here.
Few more projects in the shop. I'm really liking making these boxes. Finished this sugar bowl sized one out of apple.

Still working on the rest.
Need to go to the apartment house and get a few projects going there this week if weather allows. Have two trees here that are wind and bug damage that need to be taken down. I have someone who will help and take them away for burning in his outdoor furnace. Not a good wood for turning or making stuff so happy they will be taken away.
Today will be rest and relax after yesterdays work.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

66 going to 79.

The grape arbor rehab is still my main project. Brought another big load of cedar posts from the woods and a load of firewood. When starting on the arbor, the corner post had sagged inward when one of the horizontal bearers rotted. Had to use the tractor and the truck to pull the post level. After bracing it, used the tractor to rig up a 14 foot cedar held in the jaws of the grapple the lift all the vines up high enough to hand lift a new bearer in place. It was heavy. I need another tractor and FEL!

My wife was nearby planting flowers, so she assisted when needed. We saw our first black snake and first skink of the year. Pollen is as thick as fog, it seems.

Well, my tractor and grape arbor are really tired this morning, so I'm gonna give them the day off. I'll work on my MIL's taxes and maybe a hike.

Good Morning,
Ct, 35 to start going to 50. We got some rain last night, not sure how much but it wasn’t a lot.

Work wants me to come in on Monday to deliver fuel to all the TEAM customers, fuel assistance program ends on Monday. When I get home I will load the truck with the Trex and head north Tuesday morning. The weather looks kind of rainy and cool so I’m not sure how much I will get done. 🥲.

Bill, glad you didn’t lose power, also the same for you Thomas.

Looks like it’s time to go to church, will check in later. Hope all have a blessed and safe day. 🙏

after looking out seeing a fat squirrel mauling my birdfeeder and about to knock it off like yesterday,
decision was made.
Time for a persuader.
ordered a Red Rider adult bb gun with scope, and a set of targets to see how accurate it is.
I wanted a pump bb gun so can regulate force and not kill critters.
I want the smack in the rear to be "persuasive"...

I would have preferred it to be orange so no mistaking it for something more powerful.
actually, just figured out another alternative.
take my CO2 pepper ball gun, which I've never used, and put the practice balls in there.
talk about inaccurate...I bet I'd never hit it.
which is why I want a scope so I can avoid the animals head

my crazy neighbor has an airgun and I hear smack smack smack a lot.
He has a target of a man with a big red heart.
Tell me that's not spooky...
