When did you become emotional?

The summer of that bombing I was sharing a house with a woman, not realizing how psycho she was. She thought that was the greatest thing.

Nineteen children, plus an unborn baby, were killed in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.

Fifteen of the children killed were attendees of America's Kids day care center, while four others were elsewhere in the building.

Plus...149 others.

I know that. Did you happen to notice that I said she was psycho?

Speaking of dead children…..How did you like the 1993 handling of the Waco, Tx Branch Davidians?
79 dead, including 25 children incinerated or shot to death.

I’ll admit, I got a bit “emotional” on that one. To the point that I am numb and I don’t get emotional much anymore.

The sight of an American M-1 Abrams Tank with an American flag like the one used to assist in killing those children left me forever changed.

Not sure what you are implying. In each case there were many innocent people killed, yet two wrongs don't make a right.

I’m implying the 25 innocent children shot or incinerated and 50+ other lives that were unjustly taken before the OKC bombing (I believe the OKC bombing was a sick form of “retribution” for the Branch Davidians massacre) was a reason I am no longer “emotional”.
IOW’s, while some of you are becoming more emotional, I have become less emotional, numbed by the large number horrors I have seen perpetrated on us.

After that happened, there were millions of what you call “psychos” running around.
I never felt killing/bombing was justified, even if you were motivated and “psycho” from a previous bombing.

I thought that's what you meant but...
Thank you for clarifying.

When a loved one dies, be it two or 4 legged.

Anytime I'm at the presence of Taps being played.

The one thing that has changed the most is after we lost our son a couple of years ago, anytime I read or hear of a parent losing their child.

I've always found Randy Weaver less of a fruit cake than Vernon Howell, but ironically enough in both cases, it was some form of religion that pushed both men to their "fame". I can understand what pushed Weaver to do what he did, no clue on Howell.

There were extremes whackos way before most of us were born...

I basically made the same kind of comment at our community group meeting from Church last night.

We all deal with the same crap of insanity, it's just a different day with different technology.

Two days come to mind. November 9, 2016 and November 5, 2024.

I have been trying to get my son interested in music. He is about 11 weeks old. The other day, I put some Christian music on Youtube, held him in my arms, and sang to him while bouncing him to the beat. He finally got it. He was ecstatic for about half an hour.

That was pretty cool.
