I need to work near my vinyl fence and am thinking I would have increased visibility of the ratchet rake if I mount them to my forks instead of my bucket.
Has anybody tried this?

No but I've seen/heard of mounting it to a rear blade... I plan to try this if I ever see my tractor again... 😆

Might depend on what you intend to push with the RR. I use mine for really heavy brush removal and grading. I am pretty sure that forks would not be strong enough to withstand heavy use - and I don't know how you could easily mount them anyway.

@davrow what an interesting idea! You plan to line the forks to the hooks and then strap around the fork and frame? Hmm..

The floppiness of my forks might be the limiting factor.. no down pressure as the fork would tend to fold up - but the strap/cables might keep that from happening...

If you try it, I'd sure like to hear about your results.

All the videos I've seen show it being pulled, not pushed. And the bucket is in float, so only down pressure is bucket weight. I can add plenty of weight to the forks. I will only be using it for light brush, no heavy duty requirements, no grading, just surface skimming.

Yes to my idea for mounting. As above, I figured on putting additional weight on the forks (as needed) to help with down pressure.
I purchased one yesterday so I should have some results to share in a week or so (PA to CA delivery).

Not sure what a ratchet rake looks like, but I am mounting a York rake to a Quick Attch plate to put it on the FEL, 1/4 inch plate is $90 on Amazon. Going to push it rather than pull it.
